Tomlin said the Watt & Johnson injuries are nothing serious. No official report on Kazee but apparently it appeared he was spotted with an air cast. Seemed like maybe a wrist injury. Waiting on official word on him but would be a big loss to the secondary. Personally I was excited to see him play.

I liked Kazee, seemed aggresive out there. I think he was holding his wrist while being attended to, hope nothing is broke.

Its being reported that Kazee needs surgery… depending on the timeframe, he may be lost for the season if they opt to put him on IR before the season starts…

Personally, if he has a shot to play this year, o’d keep him on the 53 then ir him and resign the next best safety you can get in the meantime

Landon Collins would be a perfect fit for that ilb/s type role we want, but I’m guessing he is unsigned because he is too pricey

Damn on Kazee. That is the fools gold of this team. If they have all the pieces in place they look respectable but this is football.

If this is the case then why in the hell did he even play let alone have him out there for so long?

Exactly
Classic RB mismanagement by Tomlin

100% should’ve sat him until start of season, but Cool Shades is clueless to workload management of RBs

We really needed to see a guy who hit 381 touches last year, coming off a Lisfranc to be strutted out there for a meaningless preseason game behind an OL that can’t block anyone.

That he played a down last night was just STUPID

Seemed like one of our better FA signings of the offseason…in a vacuum our best FA signing, but due to need at the position I give Jack the edge.

He seemed far more physical a player than one of our ILBs, but heck so did Wallace and Witherspoon.

I just disagree with this line of thinking. They are football players who are paid to play. I think you need to play a little football before the real thing starts up. You cannot get that in practice, especially today. Noll used to play his players in the preseason quite a bit. He understood the value of doing football things that cannot be simulated in practice, even in those days.

Just let me say to me what was stupid was having Watt out there at all or Johnson. Heyward. They had some playing time in the preseason. Harris didn't, and I think you need a little bit of that.

Miles Jack looks trimed and groomed in comparison to our uncared for Bush.

AGREE Jack is our best FA signing currently but Kazee was in the market as well.

Saute the nation

With Watt he got up slow the one play and he still left him out there a few more series. I do not get it.....Harris's injury was a 4-6 week recovery. He played right at 4 weeks. Why not give him the couple extra weeks? Lis Franc injuries are nothing to mess around with. I can see playing DJ a little to better judge the QBs and the reality is DJ is a little more expendable than Watt or Heyward. I would have given Watt and Heyward 1-2 series and Harris would have been in street clothes. I also would have sat Jack much sooner. Our MLB situation is not too good. Behind jack we have "jack."

We’ll agree to disagree

Yeah he should’ve been sitting next to an unplayed Najee
Dudes cutting his knees in a MEANINGLESS preseason game

Just stupid

I will add this
The reigning SB champs play ZERO starters all preseason

Obviously not necessary for winning football

The reps can be had in a much safer environment called practice

And that's fine. I am just of the belief that you have to do some actual football playing to get ready. You cannot simulate it in practice anymore. Hell, they are running around with pillows on their helmets.

Don't you ever notice some of the carnage of the first few weeks of the year...or so it seems. Could that be because of lack of doing real football?
