Is it just me

DJ hasn’t put up the numbers he thinks he can. Until he starts taking off in fantasy football stats, trending in tik tok videos and youtube shorts for the new generation of fans. He has to create drama to stay in the news.
Pretty much it. And he has about 5 million per Td at this point in his contract.

That's clearly evident. Stats trigger bonus money. Incentives are good. Being a total *** t isn't.
I hope there’s a bonus for winning a super bowl. It’s a disservice to guys like Watt, Heyward who play for the team and game.

But definitely stats are the main push. Look at Clowney celebrating sacking Rudolph for his meeting quota on sacks.

I kinda got the Clowney sack hype. His career was rocks. He made a bunch of money for doing what he is supposed to.
And that applies to much about any position. I know they get extra for meeting those numbers in season.

The guys who don’t meet those numbers resort to **** personalities to draw in fan interest whether it’s good or bad.

Maybe Kenny is not well liked amongst his peers
And then you ask why? Why wouldn't they like him? Some "privileged attitude?" We saw him act up when he wasn't the presumed starter, for no good reason.

So, let me get this straight. Rudolph made an instagram post stating how thankful he was to have had the opportunity to play for the Steelers this season. He also stated that: "There is no feeling on planet earth that rivals the thrill of victory alongside dear friends & teammates—Here’s to 2024." (He posted the same message on Twitter)
Pickens responded in a supporting manner with 5 goat emojis (He never verbalized that he thought Rudolph was the GOAT of QBs). Responding in a manner that shows support for a fellow player is now a bad thing?

The ******* off-season is here

P.S. If Kenny's ego is so fragile that he can't take Pickens saying nice things about Rudolph, he doesn't have the mental strength to be the starting QB for The Pittsburgh Steelers. Everybody else has to be humble and all that **** .... But Kenny? Naw, we gotta molly coddle his ***. pshaw!

A lot of these guys don’t care about a championship. That’s more of a novelty for the fans. These guys are making millions of dollars. The stats bring in endorsements

As long as your Insta is bangin...

Johnson would be gone if I were the GM. The other mental midget needs a serious attitude adjustment.
I’d be looking to bring home Tyler Boyd a FA from Bengals. Also look at Tee Higgins if they sign Boyd since Bengals are not signing them both,
Either guy especially Boyd would help adjust Pickens attitude.
Draft another WR with the Johnson draft pick.
Try and hire Hines Ward as receivers coach who would provide a no nonsense approach.
Art better have serious discussions with Tomlin about discipline, accountability to change his approach with these players.
He’s not suppose to be their buddy or someone to hang out with. Maybe that’s what they mean by players coach since it can’t be about winning anything.
Tee Higgins is going to get a massive payday, no way in hell we could afford his services. God I wish we could

True Boyd would be a more realistic option.

They will be the whiniest of beeeeotchs next year when KP is QB1. The Steelers first need to find a way to even sign Rudolph if he wants to be here. As I've said before, he'd have to come in for about what Trubisky was making plus incentives in case he plays more. Then, will he truly get an open competition this time? Maybe but the Steelers invested a 1st round pick into KP. He's only started a year and a half worth of games. I just can't see them giving up on him. Based on Tomlin's track record, he typically sticks with 1st rounders through their rookie deal. KP should be no different. I still think he will be the QB1 heading into this year. If he sucks halfway through, go to Rudolph and get ready to use a bunch of draft capital to move up and select a QB in next years draft.

True Boyd would be a more realistic option.
Because he's 29, his yardage totals have fallen off each of the last 3 years and he's never been a TD machine?
I know some want him because of Pitt ties and hometown guy. But, from a production standpoint, what's he bringing to the table that's so fantastic?

Thought same thing. Those two are very talented but man are they about 5 beers short of a six pack from a mentality standpoint.
GP had a 4.0 and saw all this **** happening and was one of the few players with the combination of balls and intelligence to see something and say something

He’s probably smarter than any coach on our staff, scratch that…definitely smarter

He’s the problem tho cuz he doesn’t want tolerate a dipshit conservative HC, an inept OC and a QB that can’t hit a guy in stride

Laughable, seems to me he is one of the few dudes actually realizing what’s going on here…this team needs some players to call the staff’s bullshit and not be Tomlin lackeys like Cam and Najee

An upgrade over their third options now. With about three times the yards this last season. So he can help keep the drives moving instead of stalling. I prefer a threat but that can be drafted...

So not a matter of he is fantastic. More of getting a guy that can upgrade that dud they brought in last offseason. Also helps he could be interested in joining the team. So you don't have to inflate the cost of obtaining him.

2023
CIN

67 catches
667 yards

10.0 apc

2 tds

These are ok stats for a third option.

Pickens was a headcase at UGA at times. His attitude is nothing new and he never really quits on his teammates either.

You’re a UGA fan too, so we know how he is and we also know he shows up in big moments.

He’s still learning at the nfl level. He’s the least of my worries in the offense

I think one guy just got the ball to them.
Just what I was going to say.
KP didn’t do a good job of getting people the ball.
I’ll temper that with the fact that was playing under the worst OC in the league and only had one game without Canaduh before he got hurt.

What do you think about Tykee Smith ? Been pimping him as a possible pick...

He was a good cover guy at UGA. Kinda hard to say how he’ll pan out at the nfl level. I wouldn’t put him over anyone we have now. But Tykee is not afraid to tackle which is needed in the secondary. Would be an upgrade over Peterson actually

If I could draft a secondary guy from UGA it would definitely be Malaki Starks.

What position are you playing Starks?

Until an establish OC is in place, along with a QB that can consistently throw the ball around, it's all dreaming to think anyone like Boyd is going to sign with the Steelers unless it's for a ton of cash and the Steelers don't do that. There is a reason the current group is complaining and it's not just because they are clueless. Nobody wants to play on an offense that sucks and barely produces. I'd say they should keep the griping in house, but that has done zero good under Tomlin for years. For me, it's reached the point that getting the teams true feelings out there might be what's needed to put more pressure on Tomlin and the front office to make things change. We all know what to expect if things continue like normal and I for one am tired of average.
