Jackson extension?

To be fair… I see nothing at all about this… just random speculation on what it would take…. The last i read they were rumored to be about 100 million off on guaranteed cash …

5 yrs, 260 mil. 208 guaranteed.

Anyone else hear this?

That would be a dream come true for me………. Action & cap both stifled for 5 years rat’s team.!!!!!

Alas though, haven’t seen a thing on this.

You would think to the Ravens fans and organization the fact all the rivals want Jackson to sign a huge deal would be a red flag. If they had a brain between then in the FO they would tag him and allow another team to work out a contract and if they didn't want to match just take their two first round picks and move on. I think they could almost guarantee an Anthony Richardson would be their for them at the end of the first or second round and he is very much Lamar like. Put Huntley in next year and develop Richardson for a season and build around him with the draft picks and use the savings to re-sign some other priority free agents. But I honestly would hate for that scenario to happen. Give Lamar all the money!

I don't believe he will be a Raven next year. I'm hoping they cannot get major capital for him. If they get a boatload of picks they will be a much better team in the long run. Hoping the pay Lamar voice is very strong in Baltimore.

Q. How would they get compensation for Jackson since he seems to be in the exact same UFA situation as Bell was when the Steelers got no direct compensation.

They tagged him, then they have rights to him. Not sure what QB tag money is this year but then another team could negotiate a contract and give Baltimore (I think) two first rnd picks).

Bell didn't sign the tag

Coooch was able to trade and get two first rounders for him though.

Anyway no one was paying 2 first rounders for Bell. Someone might for Jackson

They put the exclusive tag on him… so nobody can deal with him without permission

The whole situation feels like a combination between Jackson wanting a ridiculous contract he isn't worth and Baltimore being wary of his long-term future.

It all goes down to guaranteed money.
