Wow.

Wow what a great gig. I wonder what the payout is on a 5 year deal after being terminated. Sign me up! I can certainly be that awful.

I don't think there is much defense for meyer here. Constantly being berated does not mean your soft. It creates a toxic work environment which is not productive or fun. Josh Lambo said Meyer didn't even call kickers and punters by name and at one point kicked him during warm up stretches.

Urban may be a jerk but it sounds to me like the Jags have a bunch of soft losers in the organization. Meyer pushed them and they ran to daddy owner to make the bad man stop.
Certainly no expert here on Meyer in the NFL or College. But if it’s true with the kicking of Josh Lambo, you can have that type of ******* bully coach. “ make bad man stop” lol. That your type of NFL coach? No thanks here. The guy deserves to get decked. God knows how much bully bullshit he has gotten away with over his career.

Meh basically tge guy was a walking entitled douche… usually i say firing a coach after his first year is too knee jerk and stupid to do, but this guy gave them every reason to do it

idk the thing about him kicking Lambo and then cornering him later was pretty cringe-worthy for someone that's supposed to be getting a room of millionaires to buy into his program.

Tomlin, as soft as he is, would fit right in. Please offer him the job.
Can we trade Tomlin to the Jags for a first-round pick?
Jim Rome Show gonna be good today, he loves bagging on Urb.

If he was that good a coach they wouldn't be 2-11.
He's used to being a college coach where you're the king and no one gives you ****.

Well Noll had 1 win first season, so initial record might not be indicative of how good of a NFL coach he is. But in Urban Myers case you are more than likely right. Guy needs to keep his hands to himself. He is lucky someone hasn't retaliated. (Whooped that ***)

I don't see anyone here or elsewhere defending him. I'm not fully up to speed on him but know enough if he kicked me while I was in high school / college / pro...... he would be a bloddy stump and I'd not be playing for the shlit head.

Knoll didn't berate / humiliate his players publicly or behind closed doors.

too many rumors and too much bad blood in Jax for them to even consider keeping him. This was a must fire.

I was in a group that had a banquet once in Latrobe. Andy Russell was our speaker. After dinner he told a story about Noll's beginnings in Pittsburgh. He got the team together and said to them "You know why you don't win games? It's because you're no good. You can't tackle, block, run, catch, etc."

Only two guys from that team made it onto Noll's team the next year - Andy Russell was one, and he didn't say who the other one was.

why do you love "bagging" on urban?

Seems like a regular guy. You ***** about PC coolshades and his no nothing ways with great coach speak..

Do you really believe that Urban Meyer kicked the guy? Im sure it was in jest....if anything.

If the Jags wanted to fire him they had an easy way to do it with that vid of him getting rubbed on in the club.

where can that be found, and I'm sure Clay Travis is going to lay into his ***, too.

"Oh we're afraid to go with you ,Urban,,,,

Shocker! lol. Leading 17-21 kids with their careers in the palm of your hands is different than leading professionals with players assoc., social media outlets, and a voice at the ready should a coaching method, tactic, strategy (seemingly) cross the line.

You have:
1. Grind incident
2. Calling is assistant coaches losers.
3. He kicked his kicker... Supposedly too hard . Sounds like in Jest.
3. b He cut said kicker after he missed his first 3 field goals of the season and was released.. (sour grapes anyone)

is that it?

lol @ "Bully Coach"

Coach Noll speaks the truth, that is great story and our current coiach could learn from that. Dicipline is needed and talent is needed also. Coach Tomlin seems to miss on both waqy to much.

All the stories I’ve seen so far sound like losers bitching. Especially the Josh Lambo. He’s trying to act like Meyer drop kicked him. Sounds like he was stretching and Meyer kicked his leg out to make him fall. Sound like Meyer was intentionally trying to pressure the guy to see if he can handle pressure. Pretty important for a kicker. And apparently Lambo broke.
