Joe Biden opens his campaign in Pittsburgh

Lol

The primaries are over, its MightyJoe vs the stragglers /dark horses and rabid socialists. He's got it wrapped up.

Average Joe in a landslide. He's the safe choice.

I think Biden's run will be eerily similar to McCain's in 2008.

Both are "career" guys. I think both will be losing most of the way (or in Biden's case, the polls will be close, which means he's losing). And like McCain, I suspect a kind of desperate VP selection that will try to bridge some gap to the extremes in the party but end up backfiring and creating even more blah attitude from the middle voters.

Not sure who the "crazy" left wing VP selection will be yet, but by the time it happens, Biden's campaign will be stalled, Trump will have the momentum and Biden will be looking to shake things up.

Joe would be wise to pick a black woman as VP, Joe would get 95% of the minority/women and blacks, and guarantee they show up to vote.

All the rest of the candidates are a mess, there will only be a handful after the debates in June, Joe is getting all the donor money now, he is raking in the endorsements too

I think it almost guaranteed he does exactly that. Biden very likely prefers Kamala Harris, but that disgusting pig, Abrams, seems to be pushing her ugly, gap-toothed face into the equation as well. If Biden picks Abrams and wins the presidency, I will immediately put a filter on my television to prevent this from appearing on my screen:

smxhnopwomx11.png

I will give her this, however. She literally lies through her teeth.

The demographics would be strongly in his favor, the choice for all the Hillary voters too, without the hate from everyone. Joe will run on a return of the Obama years, a quiet, safe Average Joe pick for all the Dems with all of the name recognition, he will win easily, the only one that can run a 50 state campaign to beat Trump

Biden will crash and burn before the real campaign season starts.

To be replaced by who??? LOL

He's got this

Big Joe 33 Bernie 15 Kamala 11

Sanders drops 10 points in latest Monmouth Poll

Biden currently has the support of 33% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters. The rest of the field is tightly grouped below the clear front-runner position.

How important is it to you that the Democrats nominate someone who will build on the legacy of Barack Obama?

Very important 44%
Somewhat important 31%
Not important 18%
Not sure 7%

Your track record is pretty damn good, Spike, but history shows that a major party's polling "leader" as of May or June, 1 1/2 years before the election, is completely irrelevant. Some examples?

1968 - Edmund Muskie
1972 - Hubert Humphrey
1976 - Morris Udahl
1980 - George H.W. Bush
1988 - Gary Hart
2008 - Hillary Clinton
2016 - Jeb Bush

So the depth of support among (D)ims for Biden matters. But as history has repeatedly shown us, polling at this point is far from dispositive.

Biden/Abrams.....neither knows what to do. It will be open borders, make nice with China and Iran. Many more handouts like free college , free school lunches, medidisaster for all.

The past is dead, throw it all away, only the now matters

Bernie tanking, Beto tanking, it's just not happening for them, Joe is a shoo-in

Bernie Sanders: Congress Has ‘No Choice’ on Impeachment if Trump Ignores Subpoenas

White House contender Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Thursday that Congress will have “no choice” but to begin impeachment proceedings if President Donald Trump continues to fight subpoenas issued by House Democrats.

“It is obvious that the President is a pathological liar who does not understand the Constitution,” the self-avowed Democratic-socialist wrote on Twitter. “The fact is that if Mr. Trump continues to disregard the right of Congress to subpoena, he will leave House Members with no choice but to begin an impeachment inquiry.”

If Sleepy Creepy Joe ends up being the nominee Trump will chew him up and spit him out in the debates. The red states aren’t going to want to go back to the ****** job-killing Obama era when our economy is booming. Trump has so much ammo against the Obama-Biden era, it’s just going to be constant bitchslaps to Joe’s face. I hope he does pick the ***** as his running mate. Easy ticket to curb stomp.

Joe will run as the anti-Trump, going back to the no drama Obama days, no fistfights on twitter, just good ol calm safe reliable Average Joe, he won't have to say anything, just show up with a minority /black woman VP and he can win those narrow Rustbelt states just by bringing out more women voters, ayep

Want to place a friendly wager on the outcome if it’s Trump v Biden?

Watch for Tulsi Gabbard to make a big jump. Maybe not tomorrow but it will happen. The fake news msm is still fighting like hell to get Mayor Butt Plug moved up. I think his time has passed, like Savior Beto. His skateboard was like Dukakis’ tank and oversized helmet.

This is The Democratic Primaries Thread, call me back in a year for that. You are like those people that want to ignore the regular season and want to make playoff predictions before even one game is played!

Turn off the instant gratification news shows. Learn to enjoy life one game at a time, no need to fast forward through everything, slow down and enjoy the scenery along the way,

Watch for Tulsi Gabbard to make a big jump

Lolololololololol

No way! The left absolutely hates her guts! She will be one of the first to drop out, no doubt about it, she is seen as extreme right wing and already is one of the top hated by ALL Dems.

Mayor Pete is loved by the press, but a small town mayor doesnt have the power to run a national 50 state campaign

Only Joe has the name recognition across the whole country to get those levers pulled come election day next spring, a short 9 months away

Trump believes the Democratic race is down to simply Bernie, Biden, Beto and Buttigieg

Donald Trump singled out four of his challengers for ridicule, mocking Joe Biden, Pete Buttigieg, Beto O’Rourke and Bernie Sanders and predicting one of them will win the 2020 Democratic nomination.

‘Boy, you got some beauties there!’ he said during a speech in Louisiana about energy infrastructure. ‘Three hundred and fifty million people and that’s the best we can do?’

‘It’s going to be one of these people,’ he said. So far 23 different Democratic White House hopefuls have declared their candidacies.

He poked fun at O’Rourke for quickly losing what a month ago looked like juggernaut momentum. He jeered Sanders as a lunatic and sneered at Biden’s low-intensity campaign style.

And he scoffed at Buttigieg’s name, hinting that he believes the South Bend, Indiana mayor is too lightweight to warrant real criticism.

‘I’m looking at the competition. You sort of dream about competition like that, but who knows?’

‘I got “Boot-edge-edge.” I got them all,’ he said.

Kicking O’Rourke when he’s down, he dumped on the former Texas congressman whose star has plummeted so fast that he appeared Monday in the second half of Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC program.

‘What the hell happened? Remember about four weeks ago he said, “I was made for this.” He was made for it! He was made to fall like a rock,’ Trump mocked.

‘Political geniuses, when you have to restart your campaign, history has said that that does not work out well, right?’ he asked.

Trump described himself last week as a ‘young, vibrant man.’ He said Tuesday that Biden, by comparison, has lost a step.

‘I don’t know what the hell happened to Biden,’ he said of the former vice president. ‘What happened to him? I’m looking, I said, “That doesn’t look like the guy I knew!”‘

Trump has derided Sanders, a Vermont senator, as short on marbles in the past, and continued the roasting on Tuesday.

‘You know, Bernie’s crazy! Bernie’s crazy!’ he said, drawing laughs from a hooting audience at a natural gas terminal.

‘But Bernie’s got a lot more energy than Biden, so you never know.’

It's Joe Biden's 2020 presidential nomination to lose

According to the most recent RealClearPolitics average of national surveys, Biden is leading the 20-plus candidate field by more than 16 points. Biden is also leading in the Democrats’ first four February 2020 nominating contests: Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.

Now, contrarians, on both the left and the right, have and will continue to argue a litany of reasons why Biden won’t win the nomination.

They claim that not only is Biden a white male, but he’s also too old to be the nominee.

They contend that history is against Biden given that this is his third quest for the Democrats’ highest nomination

They assert Biden is gaffe-prone and the energy and future of the party lies with the progressive wing

Or they will say that Biden is simply just the beneficiary of high name identification.

They also insist it is way too early to make such a proclamation because there are still 12 sanctioned primary debates on the calendar.

All of these rebuttals are wishful thinking.

Biden is the undisputed Democratic frontrunner, period.

We are all-but-guaranteed a Trump/Biden 2020 showdown.

Sorry Spike, think you're wrong on this one. More and more bones bein' dug up.

TRUMP ECHOES LEFT-WING CRITICISM WITH LATEST ATTACK ON JOE BIDEN

President Donald Trump attacked 2020 Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden on Twitter Monday with a critique that liberal outlets have been using for years.

“Anyone associated with the 1994 Crime Bill will not have a chance of being elected. In particular, African Americans will not be [a]ble to vote for you. I, on the other hand, was responsible for Criminal Justice Reform, which had tremendous support, and helped fix the bad 1994 Bill!” Trump wrote on Twitter Monday.

“Super Predator was the term associated with the 1994 Crime Bill that Sleepy Joe Biden was so heavily involved in passing. That was a dark period in American History, but has Sleepy Joe apologized? No!” Trump continued.

Biden warned of “predators on our streets” who were “beyond the pale” in a 1993 speech on the justice system, reported CNN. The “Super Predator” term Trump mentioned was said by then-First Lady Hillary Clinton in 1996. The term was viewed as racially charged and Clinton called it “a poor choice of words” when pressed during a Democratic presidential debate in 2016.

Trump’s attack is similar to stories that plagued Biden when it was rumored the former vice president might run in the 2016 election. “Joe Biden’s Role in ’90s Crime Law Could Haunt Any Presidential Bid,” a story by The New York Times declared on Aug. 21, 2015.

Biden, who became Senate Judiciary Committee chair in 1987, focused on crime-slashing legislation in the 1980s and 1990s. His critics maintain he did more harm than good, and his many years of lawmaking may hamstring him with Democratic voters who resent his harsh drug and crime legislation and connect it to today’s devastating opioid crisis.

Trump pointed to his bipartisan work on criminal justice reform in his critique of Biden. Trump signed the First Step Act, which gives judges more leeway when sentencing drug offenders and offers more opportunities for prison rehab programs, on Dec. 21, 2018. Even CNN host and criminal justice reform advocate Van Jones could not help but praise Trump when it passed the Senate, calling the president the “loudest champion on criminal justice.”

Biden’s Democratic 2020 rivals are already piling on as well.

“That crime bill was one of the foundations of mass incarceration and a very painful era in our nation’s history,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday. “[Biden] and anyone else has to be accountable for every vote they take and what’s on their record. And I think that was a huge mistake.”

None of that **** from the past matters, none of it.

He just needs to show up

The question is will Biden have the energy to really campaign for a whole year and a half?

Joe Biden's campaign of limited exposure: How long can he keep it up?

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) plans to enjoy ice cream with New Hampshire voters to celebrate Memorial Day. He won’t be far from former Maryland congressman John Delaney, another presidential candidate, who’s in the midst of his 19th trip to the state and plans an itinerary that includes four barbecues, one parade and a wreath-laying.

In Iowa, Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) is rolling through the cornfields in an RV, while Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) unveils a “Family Bill of Rights” and tours an ethanol plant.

And here’s former vice president Joe Biden’s agenda for the holiday weekend, according to his campaign: “Joe Biden has no public events scheduled.”

Those seven words are becoming familiar for the Biden team. Aside from a campaign swing right after announcing his candidacy, Biden has kept his head down while his rivals rush from state to state to state.

Given it was on Memorial Day and given this is lunatic Donald Trump, of course he sided with the brutal dictator Kim Jon Un and attacked Biden, a former US vice-president while on foreign soil. That's the default setting for a son-of-a-***** traitor like Trump.

Biden campaign: Trump's 'comments are beneath the dignity of the office'
https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/bid...ents-beneath-dignity-office/story?id=63325004

President Trump, who in the past had called Biden "a low IQ individual" subsequently tweeted that he "smiled" when North Korea called "Swampman Joe Biden a low IQ individual."

"North Korea fired off some small weapons, which disturbed some of my people, and others, but not me. I have confidence that Chairman Kim will keep his promise to me, & also smiled when he called Swampman Joe Biden a low IQ individual, & worse. Perhaps that’s sending me a signal?" — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 26, 2019

"The President’s comments are beneath the dignity of the office. To be on foreign soil, on Memorial Day, and to side repeatedly with a murderous dictator against a fellow American and former Vice President speaks for itself. And it’s part of a pattern of embracing autocrats at the expense of our institutions — whether taking Putin’s word at face value in Helsinki or exchanging 'love letters' with Kim Jong Un,” Kate Bedingfield, Biden's deputy campaign manager said in a statement."

And while he was at it, stable-genius-in-chief Trump calmly wished Japanese troops a happy Memorial Day. How you guys can continue to support this deranged asshat is beyond comprehension. Wear your MAGA hats with pride.

Memorial Day wasn't May 26th
Translation: I'm perfectly okay with the President siding with an foreign dictator (who murders his own citizens and is a hostile nuclear threat) in attacking the former Vice President of the United States while on an overseas trip during Memorial Day weekend.

LOL, this is Trump, you think that one tweet was bad enough? Of course he doubled down. This was posted from Japan yesterday - checks the date - May 27th, Memorial Day. So there you have it folks, our stable genius President siding with Kim Jon Un in attacking Biden while on foil soil....on Memorial Day. You really can't make this **** up.

then why does the date say May 28th?

this is just more liberal BS wanting to make a story where there is not one. President Trump has stated previously that he believes Biden to be of low IQ...why should he take that back just because an ******* like Jong Un makes a similar comment.

Many Many people believe Biden to be an idiot
