Since 2017 the Ravens, the Bengals and the ******* BROWNS have all won more playoff games than we have. What else needs to be said about our ******* idiot head coach, The ******* Browns. does that make us the factory of sadness?

Years ago I told my son that Tomlin was going to squander Ben's last years. But, I thought Tomlin knew he sucked and would retire when Ben did so he could save his legacy. Sucks that I was wrong there.

Now here we are. We won't have a qb for a few years, many of the guys will not have that second level because they know it will go no where, and TJ along with Cam, will know only also-ran status or worse.

Good job Rooney. Thanks.

Why not have a QB for a few years? You talk out of your arse...A LOT

Cleveland got rid of their franchise QB and then gave 5 year guaranteed money to a bad QB with a rap sheet.

Pittsburgh FO doesn't want to admit times have changed.

Can't make this ***** up

We are the factory of lowered expectations…or perhaps the factory of mediocrity.

We have Lombardis of yesteryear and a whole slew of Tomlinships to keep us from being the factory of sadness.

It feels like that with Pittsburgh sports in general.
Idk how the city is, but the sports culture lives in the past and they are scared of the future or something.

Things change. The Steelers need to adopt that philosophy to stay relevant in competition terms.

That is Pittsburgh sports in general. They can get on a run sometimes a good one. Then Lucy pulls that ball up with a not so fast.

Sorry Charlie Brown there is always next time and then the next time after that and then….

I have been hot and cold on Tomlin for years. Lasty night watching his non actions on sidelines you have to say he has become too comfortable in his position and MR Rooney won't make the change. Becomes obvious we have lost the aggressive play and become lees physical under Tomlin. Im not a rats fan and only watch them as they play us but seeing their game yesterday they are head and shoulders over the Steelers on physical play, tackling, pushing the rules to the limit. Steelers specialty coaches don't seem able to develop players as other teams seem to. We are not consistent both sides of the ball, we make a play and all happy with each other and then goes south for numerous plays. The stats last night truly showed this.

It's predictable of course from here. Playoff loss. Draft hype. Tomlin is "more energized than ever" and by the time TC rolls around we'll see more puff pieces about how the players love Coach T and he's more determined than ever to win a Lombardi and they are determined to win for him. Then next year the same stale, boneheadedness on full display.

They’ll go on a midseason win streak only to unleash hell in december(aka lose in December).

Status quo remains.

Also Cleveland's big money QB is always hurt and rarely plays.

Tomlin makes his living winning the offseason draft circuit as the darling of PR and then of course to your point winning tight games vs average to below average teams in the regular season when we all know what's coming as the competition ratchets up.

There's zero justification for continuing with him. The fans are forced into Stockholm Syndrome because we know the Rooneys won't move on, so Tomlin holds the team and fanbase hostage with world salad.

The funny part is while things may change, there is nothing new under the sun,it's all been done before.

What they refuse to do is do anything that's unpredictable, even when it's failing. That's either lazy or stubborn, perhaps both.

They have half a century of winning football and plays in that building, but only use a handful.

A lot of knowledge they can access. They just don't have the coaches who can take advantage.

They're so predictable and easily planned against. They change absolutely nothing in-season and it shows as it nears the end.

I'd never want these guys as generals leading into battle. They'd get everyone killed over and over again and still change nothing tactical. They'd blame the soldiers for not fighting hard enough, when in reality they never stood a change.

That’s why they play football and are not in the military. In turn we should all be thankful for those sacrifices those in service make day in and day out. We’ll save that for a different topic though lol.

At the end of the day it’s just a kids game. This is why I’ve been very….apathetic towards sports of late. I still root for them because. But it doesn’t bother me anymore.

We fans put our personal beliefs behind a bunch of millionaire strangers because we have nostalgia towards the franchise they play for. The logo and city means something to us. For them it’s just their job and they make a lot than we’ll ever see.

That said, they are under contract. Win or lose they’re getting theirs regardless.

I would like to believe they care. And I’m sure a handful do, but the majority are trying to collect within the very short career they have.

Yep. Same ole year in and year out

Tomlin is always "fighting the last war." He's like the American brass in the '30s who dismissed the airplane and mechanized units in future conflicts. Who envisioned trenches, horse-drawn artillery, and attrition in the next European conflict because that's what had happened before.

That's why he was so hapless against the asymmetrical warfare and psyops of Bill Belichick for so long lol.

Tomlin said on at least 2 occasions that he didn't challenge plays in Cinci because "I did not see the replay on the scoreboard.."

Even the Civil War understood the importance of aerial reconnaissance with hot air balloons lol, but Tomlin never seemed to put an eye in the sky helping him but relied on his gut and whatever replay the hostile stadium's Jumbotron was kind enough to show.

Tomlin firmly believes you win with attrition and winning the turnover battle. It's only the results that let him down.
