No way. They were coasting and let down. Period. Playing like they had it won. No, the injuries didn't help, but the lax way they played on those last 2 PP's was weak. 50 minutes of brilliant hockey followed by 10 minutes of shear incompetence. Pens cannot play like that in the next round and hope to win. They play like that last 10 minutes, hell, most of the series, and they will be golfing by mid May.

Sutter was having a great game and a great series....one of their best penalty killers....him being out had a 'lil something to do with another near collapse.

I try to take some positives from every series. Hopefully, the Pens realize that they can't coast anymore, and will turn a corner. I'm not convinced, only hopeful.

While I agree they or any team will let the foot off the gas a bit when up 4 with one to go. The major shift IMO was the inj that lead to stupid ******* penalties (because they were caught being slow) and before they knew it one point game.
