Man that Bruce Ariens sucks....

The Steelers tonight had 2 running backs combine for almost 300 yards against a pretty stout defense.

**** Bruce Arians.

Let me know when I'm wrong. If not for Harrison there is no Ben to Holmes pass. But keep spin spin spinning along.

You can't deny that the man is a good coach. He's proven it in Pittsburgh, he's proven it in Indy, he's now proving it in Arizona. How much more proof do you need?

He maybe a good HC (but he hasn't won anything yet) but he isn't a good OC. He almost got Ben killed then he almost got Luck killed. What more proof do you need? His scoring offense with Ben was horrible. The year they won the SB the defense was #1 in points and #1 in yards. The offense was 20th in points and 22nd in yards. The last year he was here they were 21 in points and road the defense again to the playoffs. Horrible for a OC with a franchise QB. You don't see Manning, Brees or Brady in the 20s in points scored.

Oh sure spell it out real simple for them, with facts and everything. Arians sucked as an offensive coordinator. He got everything but points. It seems that some others just don't get the point either.

For the billionth time... a guy who is a good head coach can be a crappy coordinator, a genius coordinator can be utterly inept as a head coach. they are not even remotely the same. Arians always was a great QB coach and a great WR coach. he always had the same issues at OC when it came to playcalls on just about every team he held that position. none of that means he cannot be a good head coach anymore than it means he should suck at the position. A guy who can draw up plays may not have the strategic ability to call a game. A guy who is a genius at playcalling may not have the motivational and organizational ability to be a head coach. A guy who can teach an OLineman how to play his position may have no clue how to teach a wideout to do his. These aren't all judged the same way.

Arians is a great designer of offense and teacher, But he's a ****** playcaller. Ben never played 16 games under Arians and the redzone efficiency went downhill each year.

He inherited a strong OL that could run on anybody and at his direction, they ignored the OL and it became one of the worst in the league, unable to run or pass block. The offense devolved into Ben just running for his life and hoping somebody got open deep.

I'd also point out that Arians called his best games when Ben was injured. He would call a more balanced game and the offense would be more efficient.

This year Carson Palmer played week 1 and they passed nearly 60% of the plays. They struggled to score and won by a point.

The last 2 games, Drew Stanton started. The beat the Giants easily with a 50/50 run pass mix. Today, in an impressive win, they were about 55% pass. So, he called more conservative plays and the offense worked better with the backup.

Arians thought Matt Spaeth deserved a 1st Rd grade.

Despite Andre Ellington consistently getting chunks of yardage and clearly out performing Rashard Mendenhall, Arians continued to start and force the ball to his former Steeler, to the dismay and bewilderment of the Cardinal fans and press.

They do not know how lucky they are that RM 'retired'.

Yeah, great job D, way to not let Fitzgerald split the D for a long TD. Boy you have a one sided memory on this one.
Sorry, offense was on the field when we won the ring. Who was coordinating that offense again?

I just threw a bubble screen.....

excellent summary with application to the very recent past.

Weird how the starting QB who passed 80% of the time got injured.....

Who got them the ball? I believe the defense forced a TO on a fumble.... Boy you have a one sided memory. Maybe you need some reminding?

Lol..you guna use the hail marry last play of the game as your defense? Comical.

No what's comical is trying to say that an offense that scored 20 points, gave up a safety, threw an int and only ran for 58 yards some how won the game. Pitiful is what it is.

Whew, it's a good thing we were allowed to pass on offense then. Otherwise, our 58 yards rushing wouldn't have done it. Good thing our OC could understand if the run wasn't working, we should pass...

We had the lead. The D blew it. The O got it back, and the D killed 30 sec. My memory is solid. And Ariens earned a ring.

It's impressive that Arians can pull off a Kangol at his age,

You keep grasping at those straws. Tell me what the score is if Harrison doesn't pick that pass off. FACT the offense scored 20 and gave away 2. FACT without the defense scoring and not allowing AZ to score (After Ben's pick I remind you) the Steelers lose. Yup keep grasping but all you are going to get is air.

Bears,,, Beets,,,, Battlestar Galactica,,
The great offense only netted 18 points, 20 -2, The defense scored 7 and likely stopped a sure 7 while doing it. Defense was much better that game than the offense. I watched the game, not high lights not some replay but watched the game.

You guys are hiliarious....guy is successful now and was at Indy. He must have just learned how to coach. Your right though...Haley's offense is much more successful. Were 8-8 ever ry year but dam can he call a game. Morons.

Bruce Arians had the good fortune of having a defense that was consistently ranked in the top 5 in every major statistical category...the most important being "points allowed". The offense SUCKED *** under him. The defense carried that offense to those division titles and Super Bowl wins/appearances. The guy never seemed to understand that when you have a turnstile for an offensive line, maybe it isn't a good idea to call pass plays that have all your recievers running 15,20, 25 yard routes that take 3 or 4 seconds to develop when your QB is basically running for his life as soon as he gets the snap.

All I know is that Ben throws the ball much faster now and gets hit less.
