That's just because Haley and Tomlin are "shackling Ben".
wtf are you on about?

I respect what Arians is doing, but lets not act like our O line wasn't in shambles for a long time because he wanted weapons
You keep grasping at those straws. Tell me what the score is if Harrison doesn't pick that pass off. FACT the offense scored 20 and gave away 2. FACT without the defense scoring and not allowing AZ to score (After Ben's pick I remind you) the Steelers lose. Yup keep grasping but all you are going to get is air.
Look, I'm not living in a fantasy land of hypotheticals here. Fact. We had the lead at the half without the INT. We were up 10-7. You have to create a situation where the tie or take the lead at the end of the half, which didn't happen. Good that the defense could do somethings right in that game (since they were the #1 D that season). Still they let up more points than their season average, and had a blown coverage that led to an EASY Fitzgerald TD.
Still you can't refute my argument no matter how much you try to change it. We were down and had to drive the entire length of the field to score a TD to win a SB. The OFFENSE did that. Arians called that offense and earned a ring. I know it must make you hurt inside, but Arians was a big part of our success in winning a SB, and making it to another.
How many playoff games have we made it to since Arians left? (remember now, Arians has always been the argument)...
They also lost to Tim Tebow with him at OC.
I think that one falls on the HOF DC with the Zero Coverage.
PS. That was our last playoff game over 1000 days ago.
I know it kills you that you are so wrong and have been disputed over and over again yet you cling to your little fantasy that the offense won the game. The offense score BELOW it's average ~20 points -2 points it gave away in the 4th. Without the defense scoring points itself then they lose. Also Arians didn't call one play on the final drive as they were in the no-huddle and Ben was steering the ship. You can't even remember the game well enough because you said "Sorry, offense was on the field when we won the ring." Of course you conveniently forgot that it was the defense that put them on the field with Woodley's fumble recovery and sack.
You can spill your unintelligent drivel all you want but those facts are easy to see for any child. Without the defensive TD they lose. And if not for Ben throwing a pick the Cardinals would have never been in position to score. But you keep singing the praises of a man who got his QB killed, couldn't score but 20 points against the worst defense to play in a SB, and had to ride the back of the defense to even sniff the playoffs.
Just as I thought. Can't keep to the argument and start attacking someone's intelligence. Yawn...
You have no merit. You did not refute any point I made on Arians. Instead you cling to a What If scenario about a defensive play, when that defense LOST THE LEAD AFTER THAT AMAZING PLAY.
Ben and the offense put on one of the greatest superbowl drives to win a game (as stated by many sports analysts), and you want to cling to a sack fumble with 20sec left at midfield which is the reason why we won? It was a factor, but we didn't take the lead in that superbowl on a sack fumble.
Arians offense won the game. Thanks for the Lombardi!
You better be wearing your short sleeved mustard shirt when you say that.Bears,,, Beets,,,, Battlestar Galactica,,
I have mustard all over my face. He goes to the Colts and under some emotional conditions does well, goes to Arizona and has made them winners. Hey lets bring Ariens back.
Fail to score from the red zone. Oh wait....to do what?
Fail to score from the red zone. Oh wait....
Also the thing with the cards is their defense... Rock solid
Cope your point was completely lost. The game-winning drive was engineered by Ben, not Ariens. Ultimately Roethlisberger is a better OC than Bruce Ariens. Sorry man. Let it go. The Bruce just wasn't that good. All he knew how to do was send three guys on fly routes and hope Ben could stay on his feet long enough to make something happen 45 yards downfield. That was Bruce's ENTIRE offense.
This is a perspective I always enjoy hearing. Who prepares Ben to run the no huddle during practice? Who implements the plays for the no-huddle. Probably the Offensive coordinator. To think Ben just writes up plays in the dirt is short sighted. He's running the plays that Bruce prepared and practiced. I'm not diminishing Ben's execution, but Bruce implemented it. And it was Bruce's choice to go no huddle. To say Arians had NOTHING to do with winning a Superbowl is a biased view.
Surprised this is not a well known fact. The no huddle is practiced all week under the supervision of the Offensive coordinator. There are alot if reasons offenses go no huddle. Defenses cant subsitute, dont blitz as much, and they get tired, dont have enough time to communicate themselves. Its not just because Ben is calling the plays instead of Arians then or Haley now.
