For being a jerk, alot of former teammates and both his coaches have come on his podcast when they have no reason to go on there, they all seem to have a good time on there.
If Ben came out and said, it's not my job to teach a rookie QB anything, everyone would've killed him, but it's not cocky for Mason to brush off getting to work with a HOF QB. Most rookie QB's would say they're excited to work with and learn from a HOF guy. The Steelers knew Ben wasn't retiring, if they really thought he was retiring they would've taken someone better than Mason Rudolph.
Of course Ben was a jerk alot of the time, the majority of pro athletes are, I see players every single year at Latrobe blow off kids for autographs. Tom Brady left his pregnant girlfriend for Gisele, Ray Lewis helped murder a guy, they're on TV, the list goes on and on, there aren't many Sidney Crosby's out there.
