Mike tomlin and his race card

I was wondering who would be the first to take the bait. It is what it is and if that's the way he feels that's the way he feels. His feelings on the matter have absolutely nothing to do with football anyway.
His feelings on the issue of race playing a factor into his being perceived as a "player's coach" are not related to how well the team will be prepared, or the Xs and Os that will be employed. That's what I'm worried about. Not whether he likes being called a player's coach or whether he feels that race plays a part in that perception.
If he took a **** at 10 am this morning, he would have been the HC of the team that this board is all about at that time. Does that make his crap football related?

Well considering that that's about the only good thing a lot of people can say about his coaching skills, he should be happy with it.

i was going to mention that myself and that he is white and from pittsburgh. i think tomlin has heard the "affirmitive action" comments some have been whispering. combine that with the racial tension in the country right now with the Brown shooting and all, and i can see him running to the race card.
it's not raacism it's just he is a mediocore coach at best. he won a SB with an established veteran team and now that has faded and we are all seeing what we really have in mIke. that's all, IMO.
Of course leave it a minority moron to play the G'damn race card! UNREAL!!! Why doesn't he hire Al Sharpton & Jessie Jackson as his personal spokesperson for his post game!
Nothing against African American people but they have every advantage vs Caucasian people in today's society not just professional sports...they have grants and special programs for minorities. IMO Caucasian people are the most discriminated race in America today!

Good point. Looks like he is trying to find cover for what he knows is going to be a difficult season. Playing the race card will keep ESPN and the media off his ***. They've now been reminded that he is a black man so back off.

he's just getting his excuse in early for when he's fired. it won't be because he's a **** coach, but instead, because he's a **** black coach. wow. i often questioned him, but i at least respected him...until now.

I don't necessarily blame him for THINKING it, because I do think a lot of the fans who hate him have racial reasons as part of it, but you can't say it out loud. It just sounds like you're grasping at straws trying to deflect blame
