Mike Tomlin says BIG changes are happening

I'm just hoping for a playoff win, man.

I see your standard has been lowered, I guess that’s what 10+ years can do to a fan……………………….

Salute the nation

Actually, the Steelers were ninth in the league in rushing defense last year, and #7 in YPA allowed at 4.16. In 2023, they are 29th and allowing 4.71 yards per carry, which is #28 in the NFL. And Cam has played a grand total of 14 snaps this season, about a fifth of one game.

Not sure what you're talking about.
Stats or no stats...my eye test says no Cam = very mediocre D-Line....and that's being kind.

The following numbers are the rushing total of each game the 2022 Steelers allowed.

75, 91, 104, 119, 54, 77, 95, 144, 217, 102, 172, 154, 65, 156, 106, 198 and 144 yards. Gave up over 100 yards rushing 11 times. I'm no expert, but it looks to me like teams were running the ball on them with Cam in there.

This is ******* priceless. Every time the name Tomlin or Canada is mentioned in this forum, this picture should automatically pop up.

Yeah, and those totals from 2022 average out to 108.1 yards per game, which again was good enough for ninth in the league. This year, when the Steelers have been without Cam for 95% of the time, they've allowed 148.5 yards on average, which is the fourth highest total in the league. And they're giving up WELL OVER A HALF YARD MORE per carry.

You're right. You're no expert.

LOL. Spin it however you want. The numbers say teams were running on them. Are they better with Cam? Sure, but lets not pretend that teams suddenly couldn't run the ball with Cam in there. The numbers I posted says they did. Regularly.

I'm not spinning shlt, bud. What the numbers say is that the Steelers were a top ten defense against the run in 2022 with Cam, and they are one of the worst run defenses in the league without him this year. You want to act like allowing 100 yards in an individual game on the ground is some arbitrary egregious number? Feel free. The averages say otherwise.

it's a tough comparison of 17 game stats to 4 game stats
And yet it's the best recent sample we have, because Cam had played in at least 15 games in each of the prior 6 years.

I'm benching Mason Cole and moving James Daniels to center when he returns.

Interesting. Yeah Cole and Chukes has struggled this season as has Moore.

I would be ok with them giving it a shot if he was sound at C in practice.

Chuks had about 4 good weeks last year and then was below average and picked it up from there. Cole played way over his head last season and a fall back to average was expect, but this has gone beyond that and he just doesn't look good out there.

Mike Tomlin’s “big changes” was apparently shoving several Horseshoes up his *** and hoping for the best.

i'd cut Gunner and keep the new TE.

From what I've heard Chuks takes too many plays off. Ramon Foster has said as much on his podcast. Cole has just been awful by my eyetest. So many plays pressure comes up the middle and he's not engaging anyone.

Edit - just like to add that the pressure up the middle has led to Kenny rolling to his left or right and the tackles giving up sacks or pressures to the edge rusher on several occasions.

We need away more athletic guy at C… that was why they tried to use Green there initially…
They need a guy quick enough to chip and still make a block and to pull. Honestly I would probably just try a more traditional blocking scheme first, especially in runblocking… i hate the passive bullshit…

I see the big change.

The Steeler logo on his jacket inside a gay rainbow.
Seriously? We're doing that **** now?

He was paying tribute to Canada's play calling and the playbook crayon color scheme.

I believe that's the crucial catch logo for cancer awareness.
