Miles Killebrew snubbed from Pro Bowl Roster

The Pittsburgh Steelers will send players to the Pro Bowl for the 21st season in a row.

Every year there are always snubs. Most of the time it’s position players that are snubbed. For instance Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick is an All-Pro Safety, but because of his defenses short comings he was left out this year.

But Fitzpatrick isn’t the Steelers player that most likely deserved to make it, but didn’t. That title belongs to special teams ace Miles Killebrew.

Killebrew was signed in the offseason from the Detroit Lions to take over the special teams spot vacated by Jordan Dangerfield.


Killebrew gives the Steelers a little bit more defensively as he’s saw some snaps in certain situations. Dangerfield was mostly confined to special teams only unless injuries forced him into the secondary.

“The only way you’re going to get a big play on special teams is if you think you’re going to get it, and you have to think that way every single time,” Miles Killebrew said earlier this season.

This came on the heels of Killebrews first punt block against the Buffalo Bills. He followed it up with a second one against the Las Angeles Chargers to help the Steelers rally from behind to eventually take the lead. They eventually lost. But the impact was still made.

Killebrew averages 20 special teams plays per game, and has recorded 8 tackles.

He deserved to make it.
