MNF

Wasn't someone on here saying a few weeks ago that Brock Purdy was head and shoulders above Kenny Pickett? He's been playing like *** the last two weeks. I think the league has caught up with him a bit.
A bunch of people also pointed out that he was probably a system qb, because that sf system has made some really questionable qbs look really good… the current one really utilizes Deebo Samuels in a lot of roles to open up a defense… without him in there, its a bit more traditional and its easier to defend…

Purdy is going to be a nfl caliber qb for a long while , but I am not sure he is going to be a slam dunk franchise guy the people jumping to conclusions thought he’d be… his arm strength is suspect and im not sure how hed look without a star studded super offense around him

The Browns did have the #1 D and Purdy was missing most of his weapons. Tonight Purdy has been pretty good. The int was simply a very bad throw. He was not fooled by the coverage or anything it was just a bad ball.
2 INTs … ain’t so good

Niners shut down by a good-not-great Minnesota defense. They stuffed McCaffrey and the running game, and Purdy did not look nearly as good as he has in the past.

Tough watching Jordan Addison torch one of the best defenses on the NFL and have the tackle you drafted ahead of him who looks good sit for a journeyman.
The only way we should have drafted Addison is if we traded DJ for a first and used that pick on him… but honestly I don’t think he and Pickens would have been a great locker room blend looking at the big picture…

Yeah I think I jinxed him right after my message he tried to force one into Kittle and that last pass was terrible. The first INT was not that bad it was just a physical error. The last INT was a mental error. Overall I think he played solid enough to win. The 49ers had an early fumble and a missed FG and as bad as last week was Purdy ended up putting them into position to win but the kicker missed.

You just can’t help yourself can you. 🙄
Of course he can't the snowflake has a built in agenda. This is a guy that cooch proclaims how smart he is and everyone else is dumb in comparison.

Grade A douchebags.

Both him and cooch get quiet after wins but let one of their agendas have a bad game and they are right there to tell you just how smart they are.

I’ve seen some posters come and go, they wanted a LOSS so as they could be right in their arguement.

I read about fans getting beat up / cheap shot / even death…… People need to remeber it’s just a game,.. a game!!!

It’s OK to eat crow (I prefer BBQ or the **** fried out of it), integrity is worth more than dignity.

Hovering and waiting for a negative to prove yourself, is just asinine, if you can’t prove your point then it must not be that important of a point.

wow man that is some deep shyt right there, DIC

is your real name Jack Handey??? ...lol

Brock Purdy is head and shoulders above Kenny Pickett. And if one bad throw and him trying to push it into a tight window makes him bad then Kenny is bad 90% of his games. Everyone is sucking on Picketts nuts because he had 68% 230 0/0. Purdy had 70% 272 1/2. That is Purdy's worst game as a starting NFL QB. His worst. That would still be better than 10 of Picketts games. I mean I understand grading on a curve as that was a good game for Pickett. But Purdy's game would still be better than most of Picketts. Let that sink in a little.

See the guy still can't grasp that a QB will be better in one scheme and flip script to a worse setup he wouldn't be. Still thinking stats paints a whole picture.

Let that sink in a lot.

Keep that agenda going strong snowy river!

I know. It's just if you are not even playing Jones it's kinda ridiculous. PS DJ didn't look like the pillar of maturity Sunday.

Incorrect… Brock purdys worse game was last week, when he went 12/27 for 125 yards a td and a pick vs cle. He had a passer rating of 55.

Pickett, vs cle, also playing with no run game and who lost his top receiver had similar, but better stats

Lets compare vs Cleveland:

Purdy: 12-27 for 125 yrds, 1 td 1 int 3 sacks 0 run tds 1 fumble - passer rating 55.5

Pickett: 15-30 for 222 yrds, 1 td 1 int 2 sacks 0 run tds 0 fumble - passer rating 71.8

Now lets look at what they did vs the rams, whom they both faced:

Purdy: 17-25 for 206 yrds, 0 td 0 int 1 sacks 1 run tds 1 fumble - passer rating 93.1

Pickett: 17-25 for 230 yrds, 0 td 0 int 2 sacks 1 run tds 0 fumble - passer rating 97.8

So in both cases where pickett and Purdy faced the same D, pickett holds a slight edge

Bear in mind, this isn’t apples to apples… tge 49ers offense is run by the best offensive minds in football, has 4 of the highest paid players at their positions on it, and is an established veteran team .. he has the luxury of probably the best run game system in the league…

Pickett runs an extremely young and extremely cheap offense headed by Matt Canada and Mike Tomlin. The blocking scheme has been crap for years and the run game nonexistent…

Purdy was the rare rookie who because of extreme injuries was given the reins to probably the most complete team a rookie has ever walked into.

Stats are only useful when they fit snowballs agenda 😁❄️😉

GREAT post madinsomniac, thanks for all the great ones along the way.

I don't think Purdy does as well if he was on this STEELERS team. His shine would be a little dull. Not argueing which of the two are better or worse but it's hard to talk Pickett while he is in this ****-hole O'Canada offense.

Your post shows well as to comparing the two and I'll take it for what it's worth. Picket would obviously do better in a schemed OC friendly system.

Both of these guys have a still too small statistical sample to make any real conclusions..

The two games I pulled we’re basically the same stats for both… the only glaring exception was fumbles… which is 0-2 in picketts favor.

For their careers, pickett has 4 in 18 starts… none this year…

Purdy has 5 in 12 starts, all coming this year…

Kind of odd because I distinctly recall Pickett’s small hands being a fumble concern 🤣

Ok, sorry. Second worst game of his NFL career. If you want physically talented then I am sure Pickett has more than Purdy as he is bigger with a bigger arm. But Purdy has way better anticipation, accuracy, and reads the defense way better. If you want to bet I will bet Purdy has the better career than Pickett right now. I am sure of it. And if Kyle's offense can make anyone look awesome why didn't Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance look at good? Both way more physically talented than Purdy.

Perhaps it would be without the gloves. Maybe his strength training helped some too...
