Great showcase? As I've already mentioned, Rudolph put up a less-than-pedestrian passer rating of 80.0 in that game, and threw a crucial interception from the Bills' 4 yard line in the second quarter, while the game was still tenable for the Steelers. When Buffalo scored on the ensuing drive after the touchback to make the score 21-0, the "whole NFL world" knew that the game was essentially over.

It will be Denver. Tgey are 25 million dollars over the cap as is. Cutting Wilson would cost 85 million ... even split over two years that puts tgem almost 70 million over this year... tgey almost certainly will have to firesale the team assets... meaning they may not be able to afford a better starter... even if he was just a stopgap one...

Rudolph fits the bill

Yes, I'm sure that the whole NFL world is all abuzz about Mason Rudolph, and I must've missed it. You right. By God, he'll have the opportunity to improve upon his 2023 third-string status.

I am sure he will be offered a starting gig somewhere...or at least I was told on this board at one time or another. Seriously though. I hope he gets his shot somewhere. Dude was nothing but a professional here.
 
DK sports talked about Rudolf. Said it was up to Mason if he wants to leave or not. Doubtful he will get crazy money or teams knocking down the door to get him.

Mason will get about a fair as deal here as near anywhere else. It will be up to mason as where he thinks he can get a starter role.


My thinking is he is about 60 / 40 gone, BUT he is very well liked and has deep connections here at the STEELERS. Wpuldn’t surprise me him knowing full well he won’t get a fair shake, but will be here upon Kenny’s injury or non-Developement.

It won’t be long and we will ALL know. I just wish Mason well as he has been a very down to earth and professional player here.

Yep. I'll say it again myself: he is what he is. And what Mason seems like to me is a very nice respectable dude who is not an NFL starting QB. He is Charlie Batch, and everyone loves Charlie......be the new Charlie Batch for us. I would think he's smart enough to want to stay with the Steelers, but if some team is foolish enough to really over pay him you can't blame him at all.

But it doesn't really matter as Mason isn't coming back and is Duck even still in the league? Anywhere? Even sniffing a practice squad?? Of course not, cuz nobody needs a noodle arm that can only make about 25% of the throws required by an actual NFL QB

I can’t think of many teams that are looking for a new starting QB but a lot of them are looking for backups.
 
I will point out that back in 2019, many Steelers fans, including some here, insisted that Duck start over rudolph because he had "the bigger arm"... which goes to show you how well fans judge arm strength... 🤣🤣🤣

I hear yaz Ron, that’s why I’d think he seriously look to return. Here is is best place to become the starter…… If not by outright beating out Pickett, then by default of injury to Pickett (picket’s soft).

Back in 2019 it seemed people just hated Mason for the sake of it...mob mentality was in full effect
He was obviously not a long term option/franchise QB so people hated him for that...KP gets the pass cuz the homers will always rep for him no matter if his ceiling is Mason Rudolph or not

If the expectation was just a serviceable backup rather than the heir apparent to Ben I think he would have been better received
