New NFL Sunday Ticket Prices

The price is no concern to me, what will get people signing up is not needing to have YouTube tv service, and being able to stream it anywhere.

I live where I COULD get direct TV, which meant I couldn't get the streaming version of the ticket. And we don't watch enough TV to have a service for live TV.

I'll def be signing up before June 6th as soon as it becomes available.
You could have done that when it was on DirecTV but it was cheaper.

No, because of my location, I could not have. I had to have direct TV satellite and one of their packages.

Now I can JUST get Sunday ticket. We don't watch live TV at all. We have Netflix, prime, and through our phone plan, hbomax and Disney +. And even with all of that, it might be a few hours every other weekend.

So a $80-100+ base TV package is literally pointless and a waste of money.

I have “prime” THROUGH M,Y COMPANY, Ipay $10.00 for paramount, My daughter gave me a HULU password as she has a 4-account.

I purchased a Samsung 65” tv and with it came “Samsung TV” its 169 + channel stream and it’s for free.

So, I literally pay about $10.00 a month for my TV package.

Last season I got 6 Steelers games on this array of TV. I’m going to try and get a set up (NOT PAY MILLIONS) to get the full season of games for the Steelers. Not sure of the set up, but I will investigate and “ask” for help if need.

Interesting. All I did was have Sunday Ticket and could stream it on any device. I used an Amazon Fire Box hooked up to my TV. I didn't need or pay for DirecTV. I stream everything as well.

So if you get YouTube TV in the home market of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you get to view Steeler games as per the regional NFL game assigned to be broadcast to your area.

YouTube requires no contract. You can quit any time.

If you were to set up your YouTube account in the region you want to watch a particular team. Then go to another area/state and select your account - you would get the game where you set your account set up in.

If you set up a bunch of YouTube TV accounts in Pittsburgh area and people accessed these accounts, couldn't they watch games for the cost of YouTube TV account (for like $ 65-70/mo)?

So I share youtube tv with three buds. According to the service statement we can all three simultaneously watch three games. I think you can spread the tv service like 5 ways but regardless only 3 can stream sunday ticket at the sametime. So $83.33 per person for Sunday ticket isn't bad.

I took the early bird offer of $249, never had the Sunday ticket so gonna try it this year. I streamed games the last few years and there were always hiccups on the broadcast and usually died midway through the 1st half. I'm adding tth 4K option for $4.99 and my brother and both adult sons can watch on my account. They will chip in some and it's a good deal IMO.

Could you list a web-site as to where to sign up ?
Thank You in advance

Down on YouTube. From Adam Davis: “I’m also rather disgusted by the pricing model here. If you’re in Europe, you can purchase NFL Game Pass for under $200 per year. That’s not the same Game Pass offering that you get in the US. In Europe, for less than $200, you can see every single NFL game live. That includes all of the preseason games and all of the playoffs. You also get Red Zone. But if you’re in the U.S., you need to pay YouTube $389/year and that does not give you the preseason games, or the Thursday/Sunday/Monday night games, or any of the playoff games, or Red Zone. It’s a horrible deal.”

Interesting comments from an article on the pricing. Be nice to see a huge backlash. Greed is taking the fun out of sports.
I had no idea that Youtube package doesn’t include Thursday,Sunday or Monday night,no playoffs? Is that true?

I told them years ago the only way I'd be back is if they offered options to purchase individual games or a team package. I'm not paying $400 a year to watch a handful of the Steelers games that aren't nationally televised.

Which games are national televised in 2023 for the Steelers? I might go to the Steeler bar games that aren't national televised in my area.

I don’t think we will know until the official schedule comes out. It use to be a “gimme” for a minimum of 5 prime time games but alas, the STEELERS have fallen on hard times to the core depth. Hopefully that can change this up-coming season.

I have a feeling these firestick and IPTV options won’t work anymore. Youtube has international versions. I’m thinking you won’t be able to vpn yourself to England to get a feed. YouTube will also likely be far more aggressive and tech savvy to shut down workaround and pirate links.
So now how would that work though?
Unless Google somehow can monitor what your computer sends out as packets?!

i think the Youtube move means less security, not more.

The NFL following the same marketing strategies as the pharmaceutical industry?

You had no idea? It's been the same way for almost 30 years under DirecTV.

I think I want to be back about 30 years.

too much skata to deal with now.
LOL...I see your comment and laugh. This bootleg battle has been going on for decades. My first experience was with the monster satellite dish hacks. Then came the bootleg cards and the computer assisted emulators, then the " black Friday " crash to end it all. Streaming poked its head into the game lately and for sure the game will continue like a good tennis match. Hack, counter-hack ---- Hack, counter-hack----rinse repeat.

For myself, I am finding other things to spend my time and what little money I have on than the pandering NFL. I do miss my Stillers though and from time to time I get to see a game at a bar or someones house that has the means to get the game and is tolerant enough to invite me.

I took the non-subscriber early bird offer as well. I also had the streaming from Direct TV but had to use my son’s college address and email. Doing that made it $129 with redzone included. Boy I miss that price.

Geeeee. Thanks for the snarky reply.
No direct TV in Canada. It was a simple question ya miserable prick.
OK, since you want to be a complete *** hole about it, I'll get truly snarky -- why the **** would the package carry Monday night or playoff games that are already televised nationally, Einstein? If you had no idea, then you're a complete ******* idiot.

Like that better?

You have such a sunny disposition,I’m sure your nickname must be sunshine 🌞

For the cable cutters they obviously would not get the national Monday night games.Or playoff games. Which was why I wondered if it was included or an extra cost. Many people stream only. Hopefully that makes it clearer for you Sunshine.

I'll likely do that as well, even though I only have interest in one team. The wife will watch all of them, while doing 6 other things at the same time.

Or maybe the NFL believes those cable cutters will find other ways to watch primetime and playoff games. Which is why they've already started streaming Thursday Night Football on Amazon, to whom they sold the rights for 11 billion dollars.

But of course I shouldn't expect a guy asking stupid questions to have any sort of understanding of the NFL's business acumen.

Sometimes I wonder if the nfl will ever go a PPV route for single packages?
Of course the business part says no as it’s a collective all 32 team agreement and they all need their piece of the tv contracts, marketing etc.

But with the cord cutters, the amazon deal does provoke that thought
