NFL moves Browns-Bills game to Detroit due to snowstorm

Meh I don’t get the Titans worship among the Yinzers… yeah they have a D and a power run game… and thats more than we do most years, but they also have a losing record in the playoffs under Vrabel and two of those three losses were at home… the same kind of stuff people bitched about cowher and Tomlin for…

Sure a power run game and defense can usually keep teams competitive, but in this day and age you aren’t cutting through all those high powered offenses with it… plus they basically drafted a Kordell clone as their next QB, so there is that… lol

Yeah we're light years away from our perception on the team, but hey they can keep on with this new Steelers team for the next 12 years which will be a carbon copy of the last 12..;)

The 6 superbowls this team has won came from exactly what I'm talking about. They tried the pass happy crap with Bell,Brown and Ben. It failed. Continuing that at this point is wasting time.

Yeah, after I hit enter I realized that there would also be a situation with hotels and such. Maybe a move across the state to NYC?
I think Detroit is a couple hours closer to Buffalo than NYC.

If I had bought tickets for the game and don't get some kind of refund, I'd be pretty upset. Wonder if there is any compensation.

Not sure why they wouldn't have moved the contest to the Rogers Centre (dome in Toronto). The Bills have played several "home" games there before.
because watching football games there just sucks

So the Bills are supposed to fly to Detroit on Saturday, during the end of the storm, for a game Sunday, when the storm has passed, then will fly back to Buffalo Sunday night, and get ready to fly back to Detroit on Wed for the Thanksgiving game on Thursday.....that just makes sense.....

The Bills couldn’t practice today because they couldn’t make it to the practice facility.

Suppose the Bills can’t make it to Detroit by Sunday. Does the NFL rule it a Bills forfeit? I’m thinking they should.

Just curious, if Buffalo and cleveland game was moved to Hienz Field............Opppps....Acrusure Field,....... Would you attend for what ever price Buffalo stadium tickets cost. I think they go with "HOME" team pricing.

I doubt I would go but wouldn't rule it out and it would depend on if Ihad been to any STEELERSgames. All contigent on if I lived there in PITTSBURGH.

In the last game, they had to move on short notice the tickets were free. There is no way that stadium would have been plowed in time.

Good to know as if free tickets they may get a little more crowd. It's costing the NFL a ton of money as I'm sure both teams are asking for incured costs of the move PLUS the stadium "rental / useage" charges. Peanuts to the NFL but added cost to bottom line for the year.

I grew up in the Winter Hell that is Northwest OH/Toledo. Worked in Cleveland for a few years. The drive from Cleveland to Toledo (45 mins from downtown Detroit) after a snowstorm is ridiculous. Mostly because of other drivers.
Lived for 20 years in North Central Ohio.

Snow was just a way of life ...and always had to plan for it for the morning commute and other travels.

Worked for Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky and always drove a F150 or 4 wheel SUV's. Definitely a necessity in those neck of the woods.

I always thought the Ohio Turnpike did a good job keeping the lanes cleared. It also a very flat landscape and makes winter travel much easier.

Now the Pa. Pike is another story and much more hazardous in winter.

Better than not watching it at all.
Not really; the seats are not set for football, the sight lines are very poor; I have never been in a worse setup for football.

I watched Darth Hoodie vs The Tuna many, many years ago in one of the first games there. There is a reason tge Bills stopped games in TO.

And I'm telling you that's nonsense. Agree to disagree. You can absolutely find the people you want. As much as I hate to bring it up and hate those ********. You want to see an unselfish no bullshit team culture. The pats*** from 2001-2020.

You can throw in the Titans. Throw on some black&gold and that's what the Steelers should be
**** the pats*** and their phony bull **** unity garbage.

I'm with you on the Titans though... I've watched them a few times this year, and they ARE the 90s Steelers. I enjoy watching them. Tannehill has turned out better than I ever thought he would. He completed several 3rd and 8s and 9s for first downs, something we didn't have back then, and don't have now. Put a Big Ben on that team, and they're ready for for a run on several Super Bowls... just like the Steelers of the entire 1990s.

I've seen reports of both 66" and 77" inches of snow in Orchard Park. I can't even imagine that much snow in just over a day.

Oh trust me I hate the ********, but they made everyone look ******* stupid for a long ,long time and looked like a well oiled machine doing it.

I'm more angry about our coaches not countering that bullshit. Both Cowher and aTomlin.

Brains beats brawn. That was certainly proven.

They played the games with no fans during Covid... If you can make it go, if not stay home. I bet they would have had volunteers lined up to shovel out seats and would have brought the town together....but nooooooo...
Yep. If they can play during covid, they can play during snovid,

Oh, ODOT keeps the turnpike cleared as much as possible. It's the accidents caused by reckless drivers, those who think it's still all good to push 90 mph on slick roads and those who flat out don't know how to drive in Winter conditions that make the Ohio Turnpike a test.
*On a side note, it appears you shared the burden of rooting for the Steelers in the middle of God-forsaken Browns Country for many years. I salute you!

thank you sir...
It was my pleasure...

Wasnt so bad really....lots of Steeler fans there!

And? They can plow the field. They'd certainly never forget that game.
5' of frozen water makes up a lot of mass.
They would have to pull all the salt trucks off the road and get 4- 5cy loaders in the stadium to remove it and dump it somewhere. ALl whil driving on roads full of snow.. And do it all within 2 days.
