Like we have seen before the first game in a series doesn't mean much.

Hopefully we will see different games from Vegas and Tampa in game 2.

What difference does it make? It’s not like all the players are Canadian in Canada teams or American teams are all Americans. Cripes, they are fun to watch and they are the biggest underdog left. The team no one picked. I can’t hate or even dislike anything about them. I mean, no offense, but your logic is bizarre. Since I am a fan of an American based team, I should only root for American teams? Or I have to be a fan and f a Canadian team to root for a Canadian team when my favorite team is out? Really? Come on man. I mean, sorry I can’t jump on one of the bandwagons every one else is on. Of the teams remaining, I like the way the Jets are playing. I hope they win it all.

And NHL officiating continues to be awful. While I am glad Tampa is up 2-1, the penalty that got them there was horseshit. No even close to a high stick. Just as bad as the penalty that got the Caps a freebee last game. They gotta do better. It is getting ridiculous.

Kunitz got away with hooking.
The other penalty was not a high stick.
But I hate the caps, so don't care lol.


Although I will agree that officiating throughout the playoffs has been putrid.

Well, I'm rooting for Vegas now to win the Cup. mainly because Marc Andre Fluery is my favorite Hockey player. Not named Mario Lemieux.

Washington looks like they want it more. I expected Tampa to bring it this series
 
Teams have come back from 2-0 series.
So not over, but damn. Winning in Washington is gonna be tough

Since those two losses to start the Columbus series this is a different Caps team. Really surprised they are taking it to Tampa like this.

The Pens gave the caps a push. Wasn't pretty hockey by us which is why we aren't defending our title.
But I think a healthy, less burnt out Pens team would've taken that series. But I'll give the caps their props.
They came into this playoffs rallying around each other. That type of mentality pushes teams past their blocks

I have absolutely zero emotional investment in anyone. So trust me I'll enjoy it kinda..haha. It's not the deep churning anxiety I get with the Pens. I'm just trying to pass as much time as possible before I get annoyed with the NFL again.

I agree somewhat, and then I realize that the Pens had leads in the third period vs. caps in, what, either 4 or 5 of their 6 contests. Series was there for the taking, but they just couldn't finish it out this year. Really sucks too, because seeing how Tampa is playing, it's hard not to think about that three-peat. It wasn't meant to be. Ah well, I'm still damn proud of everything this teams accomplished, and being on the ride for it all. and technically, until someone else wins it, the Penguins are the champs. So I'm gonna enjoy my highlights, wear my championship threads, and strut my chest out for another month. Let's Go Pens!
 
Really hoping TB can make this happen. Still pulling for the Jets to take it all.
 
Washington looks to be on a mission. They are fast, aggressive and physical. They keep playing like this, and as much as it sickens me to say, Ovie may very well get his cup. They look as good as any team left. Probably better.

Yea, after last night, I've come to realization of this, too. Winnipeg might be the team to beat them at their own game, but WASH is playing very well right now. It wouldn't shock me if they win it all. TB looks old and slow with have no answers for them.

TB just looks completely outclassed and that is a surprise. On paper, they are as good as anyone. But on the ice, it looks like Washington has found another gear that Tampa just doesn't have. Being out scored at home by a 10-4 aggregate just doesn't bode well going forward.

Yeah, Caps have that can of whoop *** wide open. Tampa has looked like crap.
 
I turned the game on when it was 2-1 TB and then all hell broke open. The Bolts needs the next two and while it's possible, you can sense WASH is feeling it. I'll be interested how TB come out in Game 3. They may need to trap or just go all physical to slow them down.
