Tampa is giving warshington chances to stay in this.

Man, did Tampa look good last night. If they closed on some of the other great chances they had, easily 4-5 more goals. caps got a taste of their own medicine and coughed up plenty of odd man rushes. Looking forward to seeing which Tampa team shows tomorrow. They need to even the series before going back home. I like them at 2-2 but not at 3-1.
 
I only got to watch the 1st period, ended up falling asleep. I will say this....thank goodness for the power play. Tampa's is lethal. Might be the best passing and shooting power play I have seen since the "Russian Five" in Detroit in the 90's.

Anywho, pretty good play by Tampa.
Washington did have their spurts though. Cooper knowledged the ebb & flow of the game.
Like how he was able to remain calm and keep his guys composed. Washington should hurt themselves. Wilson, Kempny and Orlov are penalties in the making. As long as they can create and get past the neutral zone, Tampa should be fine
 
My fav image is Holtby looking up to the ceiling after giving up a goal. Priceless. Glad TB is back in the series. Take game 4 and then we'll be talking.
 
Tampa's game reminds me alot of the Pens..

Except we have Crosby...and that probably is the difference between the two teams..

I still think the Caps end this series early...probably by winning the next 2.
 
I think if the Bolts throw their weight around as much as they did last night and take the Caps out of their rhythm, they can win this series. They definitely found a way to neuter their power play..Last night anyway.

I believe the Pens allowed themselves to get roughed up and did not dish out enough hits to take them off their game. Maybe they just didn't have the personnel to do it or they didn't have the fire/will to do it but I think they could have won if they maintained a higher level of physicality.

The best sight from last night was seeing Wilson get roughed up and had this look on his face like "Why did you hit me, I didn't do nothin?" I can't f'n stand that team...

My wife has a co-worker who is a Caps fan and she said that Wilson plays tough but is not a dirty player. Not sure which Tom Wilson she's been watching.
 
Wilson does what he is paid to do. Be a big damn distraction. Once teams hesitate and look over their shoulders, before going into the corners. He's already in their heads. Tampa hit him last night before he hit them (mostly). Tampa was in the caps heads. The distraction can go both ways.

They put Ove on his backside a couple times too. That definitely helped.
 
I get a kick out of the Knights pregame. It's silly, over the top and a lot like the team itself. One thing for sure, those fans are enjoying hockey. Vegas looks good through the first. Can't become comfortable with a 1-0 lead.

Vegas is looking good. 3-1 is a good spot going into the 3rd.
