No losing seasons

Yep, and Tomlin used him as a full time starter from 2008 thru half of 2011.
He even had to use Cowhers bad draft picks

liar. Cowher's picks were whispered into his ear by Zeus himself, whereupon Cowher swung a Jupiter-like **** to make these picks. They were, are, and always will be gold.

I thought Rocky Blier told him who to pick?

People who blindly HATE Tomlin will always see what they want to see also. And bend the truth to his detriment. I'm not happy with how arrogant he is and seemingly cushy he thinks his job is, but I also try to assess with an objective eye, and he's not the potted plant idiot cheerleader MANY make him out to be. And he's definitely no idiot, you got that right.

That said, I want him to win in the postseason more. If he continues not to, I want him gone because whatever he's doing is just not working for this organization. See how simple that is?

Not sure if you're implying that I personally have blind HATE for Tomlin, but I assure you that isn't the case. I'm as objective as they come, chief. And after further review, it appears he was challenging the play because all he could hear the ref say was "down by contact, prior to the ball coming out."

So, like I surmised, he was hoping and praying the fumble call would be overturned, not executing some type of brilliant plan to get the clock stopped and intercept the ball six plays later.

So the guy on the competition committee, doesn't know the rules? He knows the rules very well. The ref announced the play as down by contact, that CAN be challenged. It wasn't until Tomlin threw the red flag that he corrected himself in saying "forward progress had been stopped".

So even if it wasn't some ingenious move to get the defense a quick breather and chance to settle, he knew the rules based on how it was announced.

Does Tomlin know the rule about forward progress? Maybe he does now, but ironically, the very same contention came up last year in the Colts game WHERE HE DID INDEED CHALLENGE FORWARD PROGRESS...but when he was asked about it after the game, he claimed he did it because he "just wanted discussion."

STEELERS NEWS Tomlin Explains Why He Challenged Unchallengeable Forward Progress Play
ByDave BryanPosted on November 13, 2017 at 2:50 pm 45 Comments
The Pittsburgh Steelers seemingly forced a turnover in the third quarter of their Sunday road win over the Indianapolis Colts thanks to linebacker Vince Williams ripping the football away from running back Frank Gore after he had caught a short pass over the middle on a 2nd and 9 play. However, after Williams pounced on the loose football, the referees claimed that the fumble did not count as Gore’s forward progress had been deemed stopped. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin then proceeded to throw his red challenge flag even though forward progress rulings can’t be reviewed.

During his Monday press conference, Tomlin was asked why he thew his challenge flag even though he probably knew that particular call on the field was not up for review.

“I know, I just wanted the discussion,” Tomlin said while laughing. “It’s a frustrating element. Sometimes judgement is not up for review. I understand that, but sometimes that judgement is cloudy. I wanted to know what was the indication that forward progress was stopped. Was it the whistle, and if it was, then the ball was out before the whistle and how is that reviewable? Is there audio on the review? It was an interesting discussion but it was a discussion I thought was worth having. I was frustrated because I thought we got the ball. But some rulings are judgement and are not subject to review and I understand that element of play as well.”

Huh? I guess you lapped up that bullshit, right? LOL.

You are correct in this instance, however; once Tomlin heard "down by contact, prior to the ball coming out," he decided to challenge, and shockingly, it wasn't some ingenious move.

Right there, and Mr Objective, that doesn't have Blind hate for Tomlin can not view this statement objectively??

He wanted a discussion (while laughing). He knew what he was doing man, and only blind hatred can stop and objective person from seeing the truth...

I hear your point, but the defense was not set. The D were looking left and right, sliding to spots, unsure of the set, but hey, I just review film, so what do I know...

And the fact that the interception occurred 4 plays later with the correct personnel on the field, is a factor.

Review it again. The only guy somewhat unsure of the set was Edmunds, but he was still in position to cover Edelman.

And please, just give up on your ridiculous theory already.

Of course Tomlin couldn't just be covering his *** with smoke and mirrors, right? He says: "Was it the whistle, and if it was, then the ball was out before the whistle and how is that reviewable? Is there audio on the review?" THERE IS NO REVIEW TO START WITH ON A FORWARD PROGRESS PLAY...so this response is complete bullshit.

But I realize it's customary Nuthugger 101 to lap up everything that comes out of Tomlin's mouth as the gospel. Goes right along with inventing stories about how his intelligent use of a challenge flag created an interception six plays after he threw it.

Cowher could only win with Noll's players...

See how dumb that sounds?

Times are constantly a changin'..ya know ?

I don't need to review ****. I have the snapshot in my article. You fail to see 7 people bunched, not lined up on players and still looking to VW for the play call, while the entire Pats team is lined up at the line of scrimmage. That's on your ability to process, not my failure to break down film. Look really closely at that red thing in the lower left. It's called a challenge flag...

It sounds stupid because it is stupid. Cowher didn't win a SB until ALL of Noll's players were gone. But even before that Cowher replaced almost the entire defense and offense in 3 years. Noll couldn't even win with Noll's players as well. So yes it is stupid.

With Coach Mike Tomlin WE PITTSBURGH STEELERS HAS LOST MORE SUPER BOWL GAMES THAN WHAT WE WOULD HAVE IF MY 4TH STRING COUSIN KEN WHISENHUNT WHO WAS THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR UNDER COACH BILL COWHER
