No losing seasons

PS

Thanks Fiji Mariner, you have great perspective and humor along the way, appreciate it.

Salute the nation
Thanks DIC, greatly appreciate your comments as well my brother

I enjoy football, sometimes too much
And love my team and this crazy forum family

I also enjoy bringing the point up that’s hiding beneath a stone, even if I don’t necessarily agree with it as post ego death on a wild peyote trip I realize all perspectives are bacon too and deserve at least a little taste

And I also love sticking up for the underdog, which at this point my beloved Steelers are and have been for awhile…so let’s go kick some Iggle, Chef and Lion *** and go bring home that Lombardi so all other fans can get back to really hating the 7 time SB champions as we regain our rightful seat on the throne

Let’s go!!!

7 wide b!tches

While this is true, and as fans of the team we all wear those lwoB repuS goggles, but if they go one and done again, getting crushed in the process?
Make no mistake, I'm pulling for this team, as I've done for 60 years now, but recent history dictates we shouldn't be expecting a parade anytime soon.
I know. But I don't care. I'm having fun with it. I guess I am happy where I am with it and wish most Steeler fans were at this point. I guess at almost 60 years old I can just take it for the fun it is, hope for the best, and quickly move on if the best doesn't happen. Believe me, it wasn't always that way, but I'm glad it is now.

For this franchise success is measured in Lombardis - Tomlin
I agree.

Hence the salient point that recently the standard has become substandard with the glorification and media whorification of "non-losing seasons".

Hopefully this post season will have a better outcome than the past decade +.

I don't hate you or others for having the positive vibe heading down the stretch. I really don't. We all have our limits. There are still those fans who predicts all-winning seasons as their standard. It's just that some of our limits trashed before others. With Tomlin, I see a fumbling fool who will losses to the worst teams on his schedule and complains about his team "not being ready" when it's his job to ensure that they are.

Who can recall these years?

2010, loss to GB in the SB. That hurt, because we had that game. Rogers only SB W.
2011, loss to Denver.
2014, loss to Ravens.
2015, loss to Denver.
2016, loss to Pats
2017, loss to Jags
2020, loss to Browns
2021 loss to KC
2023 loss to Bills.

That's a lot of Mediocre losses. Painful to recall. Many of them were preventable.
That loser list is quite impressive.

Fool losses.

If only the other teams weren't trying to win games in the playoffs, wed have 9 more superbowls!

2010 INT TD from Ben, Bad Fumble from Mendy in the 4th. -3 TOs
2011 lost 2/3 DL (Big Snack and A Smith) by midway through the 2nd QTR. We weren't going anywhere in the playoffs without them, and Tebow won the exact same way he won all year. Even TOs
2014 First loss to a divisional opponent in SB era. Big Ben with 2 bad INTs (This is the one that hurt me the most) -2 TOs
2015 AB was brained the week before by Berfect, Bell was out and Manning picks himself off the ground after giving himself up 3 seconds later, stands up and makes the play of the game. Won the SB -1 TOs
2016 Pats own us and won the SB. Bell was hurt, and AB was our only WR. Hell Hamilton started that freakin game... -2 TOs
2017 Bad Fumble returned for a TD. -2 TOs
2020 Worst playoff game I've ever seen. Spotting Cleveland a TD on the first snap of the game by Pouncey over Big Ben's head. Ben with 4 INTs and gave them a 28-0 lead before the 2nd Qtr. -5 TOs
2021 +1 TOs and first game we lost with the TO margin here. KC was a vastly better team and Ben couldn't throw 20yds down field.
2023 You think we're winning a game with Rudolph against Allen at home? We weren't going anywhere and amazing that we made the playoffs with those dogshit QBs. -2 TOs and Bills were up 21-0 before we scored.

To me it looks like TOs were the biggest factor in these losses, and unfortunately that creates situations where inferior teams on paper can beat a better team.

Can’t believe stupid dumb Tomblin never told them to protect the ball better, what a dummy

If only he lived in his fears a little he would have related the message to the team that turnovers win/lose games and they should be feared and maybe we should try a + sign in the category moving forward to change our fortunes

Good breakdown of the past demises Stryker, really needed that uplifting bit of history
