If Tomlin didn't want a TO and RW called one anyway, I guess that would be OK. He should have called one, they could have easily got a play off with another 8 seconds on the clock. And the play could have resulted in a TD, why wouldn't you call it? Tomlin was sleeping at the switch again. It could have hurt us. But I'm sure he made a funny joke out of it, tee hee hee. Don't get your hopes up too high, Tomlin is still the head coach last I checked. And he's currently gone 7+ years sans a playoff win. How many coaches keep a job with a similar record? Fudging up a TO call like last game with cost us a playoff win.

You're assuming it was a cognitive choice by Shades. I'm not so sure. If you're on the 10 yard line with time to run another play, plus, you do it, especially with an opponent so capable of scoring as Cinci proved to be. But out with the same old "but it worked out, don't complain." That holds up until another bonehead calls costs us a playoff win. Then we'll be citing "8 years sans a playoff win."

You act as if the "folding chairs" were created overnight without due provocation. They have not; if's been 7 years since we've had a playoff victory and many more since we actually competed for a legit title other than "winning season" which means nothing. It's been 13 years since we competed for a SB, 2011. It's 2024. Please relax if we don't all just suddenly buy into Mediocre's plan. He's been dormant since 2008. It's 2024. Don't act like some of us being hesitant to buy in is so outrageous.

There’s Nothing wrong with enjoying the journey of what so far has been a mostly enjoyable season, cheers to hoping the ride continues for as long as possible and ending the year with a playoff victory
Or why even bother watching the season if it brings zero joy? just wait until something bad happens in the playoffs and then stand and cheer “I told you so” if that’s what floats your boat…a sad existence of fandom that must be for some

That's what I'm saying, I don't care what we do in the regular season, I mean of course I'm pumped when we win, but this no post season wins thing is like the second longest streak by a coach with one team without a post season win, I think second only to Marvin Lewis, he needs to win in the post season.
It can be both, you can be happy and enjoy what happening, but also be hesitant with the post season coming.

I think this year is the best chance they have of actually winning a playoff game in years.
So with that, I am optimistic. BUT will never get past the post season disappointments we have had to endure all these years.
That will always cause me to temper my expectations with this team no matter what the regular season record.
