Refugee costs: $8.8 billion, $80,000 per immigrant, free welfare, Medicaid

America’s big heart in welcoming tens of thousands of refugees and asylum seekers from war torn and disaster-ravaged nations comes with a huge cost that is choking taxpayers — and barely making a dent in the worldwide refugee crisis, according to a new report.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform Monday put the five-year price tag at $8.8 billion in federal and state costs, or nearly $80,000 per refugee. There are some 18 federal and state programs refugees can tap for financial help, including food stamps, child care, public housing and school loans.

On a yearly average, it is $1.8 billion, or $15,900 per refugee. Included in that are enormous refugee resettlement costs such as $867 million in welfare, housing assistance and education.

That is nearly five times the pay for a private in the Army Reserve.

What’s more, said the FAIR study, 50 percent of refugees remain on Medicaid for five years.

Now apparently Libtard judges are working to actively make sure ILLEGAL aliens can escape from their court rooms when ICE appears.

Can you spell "disbar" ? If this chick judge keeps her position, it will be a travesty.

Massachusetts judge, under scrutiny for possible role in immigrant's escape from ICE, should be benched, Gov. Charlie Baker says

A Massachusetts district court judge who is reportedly under federal investigation should not be handling criminal cases while a review is underway, Gov. Charlie Baker said Monday.

The Boston Globe reports federal prosecutor Andrew Lelling has convened a grand jury to investigate the role District Court Judge Shelley Joseph may have played in helping an undocumented immigrant, Jose Medina-Perez, get away from federal immigration authorities in April.

Speaking to reporters at the State House, Gov. Baker, who nominated Joseph, called the story "extremely troubling."

"I don't believe she should be hearing criminal cases until that federal case is resolved," Baker said, adding that there is precedent for court officials taking such action.

A court spokeswoman declined to comment when asked about Baker's remarks.

Baker said he did not regret nominating Joseph.

"Look, judges are not supposed to be in the business of obstructing justice," the governor said. "And as far as I can tell, based on the facts as they were presented, she clearly violated the court's own policies with respect to the way they're supposed to handle continuance and involve federal immigration enforcement."

The Globe reported the judge told attorneys "ICE is going to get him," an apparent reference to an agent in the building, and offered to continue the case. She then told a clerk to switch off the audio recorder in the courtroom.

The newspaper says she may have broken two court policies: Judges cannot help or hurt the efforts of federal agents, and court sessions, with some exceptions, must be recorded.

Citing sources, the Globe reported that Medina-Perez later left through a back door, "scaled a fence and took off, leaving the immigration agent behind."

And then there is this gem. Not that we already knew that bleeding heart Liberal policies wanting to allow ILLEGAL immigrants in by the caravan load wasn't costly to the USA...there's this from the Census....

Liberals truly go to bed at night saying "shiiiitttt man, money grows on trees, let 'em all in."

Census confirms: 63 percent of ‘non-citizens’ on welfare, 4.6 million households

A majority of “non-citizens,” including those with legal green card rights, are tapping into welfare programs set up to help poor and ailing Americans, a Census Bureau finding that bolsters President Trump’s concern about immigrants costing the nation.

In a new analysis of the latest numbers, from 2014, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and it grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more, confirming another concern that once immigrants tap into welfare, they don’t get off it.

The Center for Immigration Studies said in its report that the numbers give support for Trump’s plan to cut non-citizens off welfare from the “public charge” if they want a green card that allows them to legally work in the United States.

“The Trump administration has proposed new ‘public charge’ rules making it harder for prospective immigrants to qualify for lawful permanent residence -- green cards -- if they use or are likely to use U.S. welfare programs,” said CIS.

“Concern over immigrant welfare use is justified, as households headed by non-citizens use means-tested welfare at high rates. Non-citizens in the data include illegal immigrants, long-term temporary visitors like guest workers, and permanent residents who have not naturalized. While barriers to welfare use exist for these groups, it has not prevented them from making extensive use of the welfare system, often receiving benefits on behalf of U.S.-born children,” added the Washington-based immigration think tank.

The numbers are huge. The report said that there are 4,684,784 million non-citizen households receiving welfare.

That's only an extra 1,500 miles. Or they could just do it right there at the Mexican border, which is what they are supposed to do. No asylum shopping.

Study: More than 7-in-10 California Immigrant Households Are on Welfare

More than 7-in-10 households headed by immigrants in the state of California are on taxpayer-funded welfare, a new study reveals.

The latest Census Bureau data analyzed by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) finds that about 72 percent of households headed by noncitizens and immigrants use one or more forms of taxpayer-funded welfare programs in California — the number one immigrant-receiving state in the U.S.

Meanwhile, only about 35 percent of households headed by native-born Americans use welfare in California.

I spot the illegal alien households by the number of hoopties in the driveway and the number of trash bins by the curb. I’ve seen normal family of 4.2 houses with at least a dozen of those ******* living in it. At least it’s not in my neighborhood.
