The ineptitude of the offensive schemes in Pittsburgh will greatly hinder free agents WANTING to come in. It will be a trade for, draft or overpay scenario to acquire talent. I’ve been saying this for awhile now but it really puts Khan/Weidl in a tough spot.

Reasons like this are Exactly why they can’t afford to let talent walk out the door.

They may want to rethink antiquated Steeler operations like not resigning until the final contract year and will also have to really massage the comp pick equation through their free agent acquisitions being almost exclusively cut players or contracts that don’t factor in the equation so they can draft as many hostages as possible to fill holes with the extra comp picks.

It’s almost like players don’t want to come play for Mike or something, 🤔 Thought being a “player’s coach” was supposed to be one of his strengths?

Perhaps but he does have some pass rush ability. Also he is a sound run stuffer something the Steelers were highly lacking last season. If he doesn’t upgrade Larry O (he might) he definitely upgrades Loudermilk.

Guy worked his way into starting for the Patriots. With last season being his best season.

He also had an episode of scolding players indirectly saying something to the effect that some thought too highly of themselves . So he had the desire to succeed. Never hurts to have those types on your roster.

Great, now they can spend their picks on dline, oline, and rb. Perfectly aligns with the strength of the draft.

As Pearl Jam would say, "how much difference does it make?" I'm all for cheapest QB, still Tomlin will get the team to 9-8 and a 1 and done.

Save the cap for when coolshades retires

Rudy begs to differ…

He’s pulled them out of a hole to do that before and he can do it again if KFP and Tbiscuit aren’t tossing him in said hole to begin with.

Now will the HC crawl up in his turtle shell after pissing down his leg once Rudy guides them there again? OBVIOUSLY

They are just gathering depth. Because of their ages and or borderline play they are just throwing up 1 year deals. A free agent theoretically will do their best if they know that they only have a one year prove it deal. If it doesn’t work out they are a free agent they don’t even have to bother cutting them.

It also means that neither side of the deal is certain about the value of the player vs the pay.
 
With Aaron Rodgers now wanting to wait until the draft the Steelers need to just move along. Just bring someone else in to compete with Mason Rudolph. I'm good if that's a draft pick or another vet like Flacco, Winston, or Russ.

I think with the weapons we have, and maybe the O line coming together to be better. I think Mason Rudolph can do the job.
Yes to get the tomlinship, but also even further,, No. Hes not going to suddenly become Tom Brady. But he can become Sam Darnold of last year.
The guy can throw accurate, and he has a good deep ball. He's not loose with the football and make stupid throws like crabman.

4Mil ? Thats chump change. Hes the best bang for the buck available. If aaron rogers was going to do anything well, he would have done it in the last 10 years. He didnt.

You can make fun of his name all day too. it bothers me, but thats just me, because i see something better than a joke. I see him much better than crabman, and even rogers. Rogers cant move. He cant. Rudolph can.

When was he surrounded by the talent and scheme that Darnold had last year in a chance to start? Darnold’s play didn’t resemble Darnold last season until last season.

Look, I’m not saying Rudolph is anything at all. But apparently the Steelers scheme and talent has failed everyone but Rudolph.
