On Replacing Ben.

Don't get me wrong. I've watched Wentz in a couple games and I think he's very good. But it is only his 2nd season. Shall we give it a few years before we determine he's the greatest QB ever to don an Eagles uniform.

Well thats not that hard considering

Randall Cunningham played some ball yo.

; - )

Shouldn't be to hard to replace a game manager.....should it?

I'd be ok with that if we just didn't waste a pick on Dobbs last year, I really hated that pick and still do.
I think we will have to wait til the following year's draft to take a QB. I still think Ben plays at least 2 more years.

I like dobbs.. that being said if an opportunity to get a potential blue chip guy arises i take it..if they both develop we can trade someone later

Yes he did so did McNabb..but Wentz just has that "it" factor. Saw it in that game vs us and many games since

I know i will be in the minority on this one..but if Lamar Jackson is still availble when we pick i would be interested.. Mason Rudolph also

If we pick Lamar Jackson, I would be pissed. I don't knw what people see in this kid that make them think he will be anything special in the NFL. I like Jason Allen and Mason Rudolph in this draft. To me, Josh Allen looks the most like Ben, as he can use his legs to extend plays, and is pretty used to a not so great OL.

I suspect that during the combine, he runs a 4.75 40, shows tremendous arm strength, great maneuverability, and becomes a top-10 prospect. Too expensive in terms of any potential trade at that point.

If Josh Rosen and Sam Darnold both come out...I would be willing to trade an exceptionally good player for the #1 or #2 overall pick. I know I'm going to get crushed for this but...

...I'd trade Antonio Brown to Cleveland for the #1 pick.

The Steelers have an exceptionally good record of picking Wide Receivers and we seem to have found another good one in JuJu...
Trade AB to the Browns (who took a QB in the 1st last year), take Darnold and roll with another young set of WRs next season while Ben finishes up.

I know trading AB to the Browns is a tough pill to swallow, but I don't think the Giants will give up #2 and Cleveland is just dumb enough to do it...

I would rather sit tight, neither of those two are worth giving up AB

He's not very good, he's excellent. And after only 2 years. Mark it down, when the current generation of starting hof'er/near-hof'ers are retired, he will easily be considered the best QB in the league, assuming someone not yet in the league doesn't eclipse him in the next 2-3 years

Josh allen is looking like a top ten pick.

You may be right Omar, but that's what folks were saying about Luck a few years ago too.

He does throw a heck of a nice ball, and he seems to truly see the field. And that's much more valuable than the throw ultimately.

I still say Luke Falk could be a good pick up. He has all the measurables and has a good read of the field. He reminds me of Kirk Cousins. Not an all World guy, but a good pick up at 32.

Luck's only shortcoming so far is his injury, which no one could have predicted. Otherwise, he'd be lobbing td's left and right, too

Its not about replacing Ben, its about having someone competent enough to keep us from being 4-12 after Ben leaves. The core of this team is ******* rock solid. I would hate to see this team with all of its talent drop off because we don't have an adequate starter at QB. Landry is not that piece, neither is Dobbs. I would much rather us draft a QB in R1 and if Ben is back next year let him learn behind Ben and when Ben does eventually retire we have our guy in place. Signing a FA QB or making a trade is probable especially since much of this team will be loaded with veterans and they will want a stable QB. Finding a franchise QB is the hardest part of the NFL. There are very few that are at the upper echelon and a lot in the middle with even more who just never click. Those of us old enough to remember life before Ben appreciate what he has meant to the team but know we need something in place or we could be living in misery after the fact.

No you can't find another sandlot/Tarkenton type just like that, but it is not the end of the world when Ben is done.

Any Alex Smith/O'Donnell type can get this team to AND WIN a SB.

The O- line, the skill players this team has, and can acquire make it not as difficult as some think.

Now can you find that type system QB when the time comes? That's a whole other question, but you do not need a "franchise qb" to be a contender.

if it was still 1998, i'd agree. as such, i disagree.

Alex Smith again...lmao. Maybe Trent Dilfer can un-retire and lead us to the holy land since it is so ******* easy to do it. Franchise QB’s are a valuable commodity that you obviously lack an appreciation for. You are going to find out how valuable a franchise QB is when Ben retires and we have Jones or Dobbs as a QB.

Thank God you're not running the team.

You don't trade a receiver who is competing to be the greatest of all time for a coin flip. First picks in drafts are not guaranteed HOFers. AB is a HOFer.

Watch tomorrows game very closely..

This is a sneak peak of our post - Big Ben Steeler quarterback..

And will be so until our post Ben record allows us to pick in the Top Ten to draft our "long-term" QB of the future.

The funny thing with me is....I think Landry can run the offense with its current personnel good enough to at least keep us relevant ...maybe not lwoB repuS relevant..but compete for a playoff spot relevant, until the next "great one"comes along, whenever that happens..

While trading Brown would be insane, would his contract even allow it? Just asking, cause I have no idea.

Don't think Laundry is the answer, and Dobbs hasn't been given enough time yet.

That's funny to me, too.
