The roster is a mess. I don't like this team because I don't know this team.

There were moves to be made to get us back on the right track, but JR missed them. And what's worse is he set us back further with the Despres trade

There is a reason JR isn't in Carolina anymore. Took a pretty good team and made them horrible. Francis is getting it fixed up though. Some young, hungry players doing work. Too late for this year, but I think they'll be pretty good next year.
 
I don't know, but it seems this organization believes Despres and Beau Bennett are the problems and Scuds, Lovejoy and Kunitz are the solutions.
That's how bizarre this has gotten.

Pens have no cap room even to bring up another young guy without sending someone else back down - the playoffs will open up the roster, but I can't see the pens playing the youngins with any chips on the line.
 
If and I say if, they exit in the first round, where do they go from there? Do they fire Rutherford, Johnston or both? The team will be a mess after many of the newer acquisitions leave and any of the talent left over in WBS will have to be sprung into action. Maybe some lower FA are signed to fill out the roster, but with all the trades and moves with past year alone, it will get pretty nutty.

Even when healthy they are up and down. Somehow I doubt Geno and Horqvist returning will make THAT much of a difference.

I was trying that thing called "glass is half full" approach. I know it's hard with this team, but it's my last hand to play.
 
The Penguins are a leaderless team as i see it. They need a damn good coach and a real captain.
 
They're going to drop to the 7th or 8th seed and get blown the **** out in 4 games in round 1. Probably not a bad thing either. Another early exit got Danny Boy tossed so what happens to this group of old fogies running the show?

and we are so tight against the cap, we can't bring anyone up from WBS. They have to stick with 19 skaters, which includes the two goalies. When did we become such a cluster, well, more of a cluster than normal?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ehrhoff out for the season. Too many concussions. Maybe he is done.
 
Pens getting embarrassed in Raleigh. Hockey seems like a burden to these guys.

Sarge, this team has lost it's way. It doesn't know what it wants to be. Bad time for an identity crisis. Coaching doesn't have the answer. Things may change when Malkin and Hornqvist return...but they may not. Salary cap problems. Defense non-existent.

Don't know what to say.
 
I am sorry but Beau Bennett ******* sucks. That guy makes one bad decision after another. And a stupid penalty by Perron makes it 5-1.
 
Pathetic. One of the worst teams in the NHL and they are embarrassing the Pens. When is Opening Day?
 
Gutless. This team is totally gutless. They're either really that bad or it's like the time they intentionally played bad to get Therrien **** canned. Either way, it's no good. Mario should be embarrassed.
