Pens Hockey 2021?

I don't want Eric Staal, but I'd ask about Rasmus Ristolainen. He has a mean streak the Pens could use.

Another solid performance. New guy with his first goal, first shot and the game winner. Excellent night. BOS and PHI lost, too? Can't get much better!

I want Ristolainen too. The guy is a brute.

He’s awesome at boxing out for his goalie too

Pens win 4-0. New guy has some wheels.

Philadelphia got absolutely housed at home by the Rangers. Again. Zibanijad is on a tear. It’s a good day.
Keep an eye on the Rangers.

They have some very skilled offensive players.

Zibanijad had a ****** start to his season, but has been on an absolute tear since the night the Rangers beat Philly 9-0. In the last two games against Philly, Zibanijad has 12 points, 6G, 6A. He owns Philly right now.

Casey was damn close to losing that shutout. Glad they had a good view of the offside.
I know. Until they overturned it, I was livid with Sid. He tried to make a stupid pass on the PP through two players which led to a turnover and a great scoring chance the other way. What it also did was give the Sabres momentum as they took control and “scored” about three shifts later. Fortunately Ceci ran into the Sabres forward and knocked him offside.

I hear ya Sarge..

And its not just last night with Sid...

I've notice his passing and backchecking game is slipping and not what it used to be..

I believe we can all shelve the "Sid The Kid" moniker...

Sid is still the best player on the ice most nights. He did muff that play in the Sabres end, but Geno has had three a game most nights.

Loved the challenge, btw.

Don't get me wrong...I still believe in Sid as the leader of the team and one of the leagues best today and of all-time..
In fact, he makes my top 5 All-Time fav Pittsburgh Sports figures..

But unfortunately you can see his game slipping a bit...not horribly but just enough to say ...damn Sid!

Sad but true. All legends get old(er) and slip. Like Ben, even when he has a brainfart or bad game, I have a hard time getting on him for everything he has done for the team.

I don’t think his backchecking has fallen off much. In fact, Sid is getting more praise these days for his two way game than I think I’ve ever heard. He is even being mentioned as a low key Selke trophy candidate.

But I do see him pressing to make low percentage plays a lot more than he used to. Maybe it’s just knowing that they are missing firepower and he’s trying to make up for it. But that pass I was talking about was bad. He skated himself to a position where he had no options, then made a bad decision.

Yeah, Now he is just a super-human points machine. I miss the old days.

Mr. O, meet Mr. Mack Truck. Loved every second of that!
Yep. I know speed kills but the Pens will need some toughness if they want to get past the Caps. Maybe The Zohan can bring it but we'll see. He seems like he is a gentle giant.

Sid is tied for 8th in scoring with 37 points. Not bad for a guy who’s been in the league 16 years.

I AM LOVING THIS GAME AGAINST THE ISLANDERS!!!!!

They are rolling right now. Probably should have kept my mouth shut, but they are playing a good game.

If we win tonight, we have the majority in the series against the Islanders.
