Pens Hockey 2021?

Great game. They can beat anyone if they play like they're capable of.

Where the hell did Colby get that suit? From Pants n at maybe?

Mrs. Fan said they are not cut right for him

That suit was loud.

That was pretty damn impressive last night. I was fully prepared for a grind it out 0-0 game till the 3rd when they would commit a stupid penalty and give up a power play goal. You could see the Isles struggling with the speed from the first puck drop. PP,PK, and Brian Rust were killer.

Rodriguez had a heck of a game, but so did most of the rest of the team, so his great game got buried.

Here's my shout out to Rodriguez!

He has a wicked shot. Gireux also has some great skating and puck handling skills. They are definitely making a name for themselves. Looking forward to them only getting better and more familiar with their lines.

From a team standpoint, it was great to see them keep throwing the puck on net and being around to pitch in the rebound. Still don't know how Sids rebound made it in.

Another thing I noted was when the Isles started getting chippy around the net after the whistle blew, Angelo and a couple others shut it down quick and I didn't see much of that afterwards. The Pens seem to have a good balance of speed, puck handling skills and grit at the moment.

If you're not watching right now, you're missing some dominant puck. This is a very loaded Pens team. Don't be surprised at how far this team can go.

No word yet. Just didn't come out for the second period.

Larmi is our back up for the night. 18 years old (or 24. They said both), 6' even. From the KHL.

Pens finish 6-2 against the Isles this year. Not too shabby for a team that has given the Pens nightmares in recent years. Even with the injuries, they are playing high quality hockey. This team just might be a player come May.

On a side note, the Sabres are cursed. Have to be. Up 3-0 going into the 3rd against Philly, give up three goals in the 3rd and lose in OT. Man that team is just bad.

Give up 1 goal today. Man I love seeing those 1 and below numbers. It means they're playing good defense. The goaltending has been stellar. Love it!

6-2 against the Isles. I'll take that against everyone in our division, except BUF. They should be an easy sweep.

DeSmith played great coming in cold. We are lucky to have him in times like this. Good to see Zucker back. Would like to see some more guys, too, but will take what we can.

Am I the only guy that isn't impressed with Zucker? I don't think he's that good and doesn't really add much. Plus, the guy is soft as ****. I don't know. He's one of those guys that you don't really miss when he's not in the lineup. His numbers with the Pens aren't that great, and if you look at his numbers with the Wild, he had a 64 point season a few years back, but nothing really remarkable since. I wouldn't mind seeing him get moved, depending on the return. Adding a little grit in his place would be a fair trade off if you ask me.

We are thick with talent, so a trade has to be looked at on some level. He may be the one.

Would like to hear more about Jarry, Malkin and Blueger .... what's the latest? Also, the Pens sure got outhit last night. It's a wonder more guys aren't hurt. Maybe let the other team get get too physical and gain a power play, but at what cost? Do we need to pick up a goon or 2 of our own along the way? If so, do we sacrifice some speed?

Hits are a deceiving stat in hockey...

but I would like to see more physicality out of their forwards..

I'd like to keep Zucker on his name alone. His family made one hell of a comedy in Airplane!

I don't know, he seems more capable than players they've allowed to stick around forever like Simon, and that Kessel guy.

Flyers waived Shayne Ghostisbehere. Would you kick the tires on that guy?

Why not. Unless he's got baggage or is Dutch

Looking through his history, his play has been pretty dismal, the last two years especially. Apparently, he has never been good defensively, but the Flyers were willing to overlook that because dude was scoring goals. Now, he isn't scoring goals either, so they waived him. Apparently his contract has an AAV of $4.5 million, so it is unlikely anyone claims him, and the Flyers intend to put him on their taxi squad. Rumors are that Philly made the move to free up cash to trade for Ryan Ellis or Mattias Ekholm. I guess we'll see.

Yeah the Pens have a fine defensive group now.
Shayne is probably Marcus Pettersen at best
