Pens Hockey 2021?

Watching the Flyers Vs. Sabres, and it’s 4-1 Buffalo. At present, they are putting on a clinic. 3rd period is coming up, and I’m just wondering if they (Buffalo) fall apart again.

Any news on Jarry?

Any scoop on Malkin? Do you think he might have hurt his back? He took a pretty wicked hit.

No details yet. They said "long term"

What happened to Tinordi? I have not heard his name called either. Definitely some bad blood between these teams.

I really like this Penguins team. They are getting physical and the defense is ridiculous. They owned Boston tonight. I hope they keep playing this way.
PS. Evan Rodriguez pass on the Zucker goal was beautiful.

Great complete game. It got a little close there but the Pens looked like the much better team tonight. Ol Casey was in the driver's seat tonight.
Great to get that monkey off their back.

Great suit Colby! Definitely got them through the pants for clunkers program awhile back.

Fun game to watch no daut abought it.

Good to see and hear Stan. Miss Sportsbeat with Stan and Guy from back in the day.

And they give up 1 goal again. I'm really digging this team. I do believe Crosby didn't have a single shot on goal all night. I didn't get to see it on tv, just highlights. So Boston either was all over him or he was super unselfish this evening. Just as a captain should be.

Whatever the case is, I love seeing them play a solid sound game. The defense was the only issue I figured would be their achilles heel this year, that thus far isn't even a question at this point. Nice W. Stay the course!

This team is very exciting on pretty much every level.

Great to get Tanev back. Man that dude can play. Freddy Gaudreau looks like he might be able to bring something to the table with this team. I really like the chemistry but if they can get back Malkin, Kap, and Blue back to where they were a month ago without screwing up that mojo watch out.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I am worried about Malkin coming back. When you watch this team right now, everyone has bought in to what they are trying to do. They have a system in place and it is working like a well oiled machine right now. Malkin has this thing where he kinda freelances a lot outside the system and it has the potential to **** things up. The Pens need everyone on board, pulling in the same direction, no passengers.

I really liked the game last night. They were suffocating most of the night on defense, I saw plenty of physicality, the goaltending is fantastic and everyone is chipping in on the scoring. They are 11-2-1 in their last 14, and they are taking down the big boys, not just the scrubs. This is fun to watch right now.

I read yesterday that Malkin is not even skating. No idea how much longer he will be out. Hopefully, for the PO?

They really are not missing a beat w/o him. Sid had a good game. He was physical and had some chances, missed the net a few times is why he has no SOG to show. Matheson's goal was rather amazing. I had to do a double-take that it was a Dman that made that play. He had a third gear that left the Bs in their dust. Team is playing great. They will be a team that many will not want to play. Just a solid, three-fazed team. I don't see many flaws right now and like jitter said, don't screw up the chemistry with trades. Boston got within one, but unlike some teams in the past, they held them off and scored a 3rd to get that 2-goal lead back. Casey has been solid. I have no fear if he was their #1 right now. Looking forward to tomorrow. Should be chipper. I hope Ratface to get smashed. Can't stand that little ****.

I'd tend to agree with you Sarge, we've seen it happen before. I can't remember if it was the year before last or maybe 3 years ago when the injury bug hit and the minor league players were doing great. The vets came back and their collective play went to hell. I think Letang might also feed off Malkin's freelancing too. But that being said, it looked like he really tightened up his game for that span just before he got hurt. He was pitching in on defense, cut way down on the turnovers and was throwing the puck on net rather than the old pass, pass, pass, turnover routine. If he comes back I hope we get that version of Geno.

3-2 Pens

Damn..Pens need to do a better job of clearing out traffic in front of their net.

Pretty good scrum there. Things are getting heated up, just like my grill before 2nd intermission wings.
