Pens Hockey 2021?

We had this game late in the second, then just turned off the playoff gear. Lame

A physical stay at home defense man could change that. We play a north/south system. Our D men are basically forwards. No one to help Jarry and box out. No intimidating presence.

Look at guys like Ovie, Wilson, Clutterbuck exposing it today. No one is challenging them
 
Pens way outplayed in the 3rd and the goalie has given up 3 super easy goals. Just shoot at his glove and you'll score.

The weird part is that all 3 goals happen 10-15 feet away on shots that should have been stopped by Jarry. All the attention around the goal he actually stopped.
 
To me, the biggest difference in the 3rd period was the legs. The Isles are moving theirs, all the time, every play. You see the Pens coasting a lot, knowing that you don’t have the same time and space in the playoffs. Pens are losing races to pucks and giving up 10 bell chances over and over. The Isles are contesting every inch of ice every play.
 
Yeah. He's the netminder you want during chaos. Not so much from the circles.

Yeah, no traffic in front. No reason not to stop at least two of those. I say that cuz sometimes **** happens and you give up a softy.
 
We have been very good and lucky this year. When given the chance to close things out - some games, first place - we haven't, and were at the mercy of other teams helping us. That is why I'm nervous. The killer instinct is not there.
 
David Hasselhoff has been reduced to doing commercials for Wheelz Casino in Canada.

We need to be a physical team, PERIOD. There is a huge part of our game missing. Also, Jarry is a number two goalie. Not a number one.
 
Hope SteelerInMD had a good afternoon with his grand daughter. He made a good decision.
 
Get to the playoffs and look like a completely different team. They should take this series easily but after tonight, I have my doubts. Hopefully, it was just the long layoff and they can get things back in the next game. Lose both at home and they will end up being one and done like the Steelers were.
 
Much like in the NFL you can't win without a QB, in the NHL you can't win without a goalie. Jarry gave up 4 goals and maybe 1-2 of them should have been scored. Add that to bad defense and you get this mess. I believe 3 of the goals were glove side high. Same issue Murray had his last 2 years.

Ya Jarry is arguably worse than Murray high glove. The isles had plenty of chances to avoid OT altogether too. There were some lazy *** lapses defensively and others where they got completely outworked.
 
Too many passengers on our team today. Hopefully they wake up before Tuesday.
 
Tell me again why we let Flower go?
 
I was grateful to hear Mike Lange call the game. I'd bet this is his last year. For the youngster's listen in and catch one of his broadcasts before it's too late.
