Pens Hockey 2021?

Probably. I think Sid is a Pen lifer though. Hard feat to pull off in hockey, playing for one team.

Hornqvist is playing for the Panthers. Damn they are fast and physical
Don't get me wrong, I hope he retires as a Pen but if they want to rebuild and be a contender again they will need to bring in young talent. The only way to do that quickly is to make a big trade.

Trading Hornqvist was a dumb move. Same with the Reaves trade.

Hockey is a violent sport. Play tough or don't win. Simple.

Sucks that MAF is gone. It was the right move. Murray had all the promise in the world. Things just go that way.

It's time to admit that this team is very good, but not great. We may surprise some people. We might not. It's clear that we are not THE Team to beat.

Go Pens!

I saw the goal in the 3rd and a replay of one of the earlier goals and both were easy saves. Shoot high to the side of his glove and he doesn't move it really at all to try and make the save. On the one replay, it sure looked like he damn ducked. WTF! You can't have your goalie duck. Take it in the mask if you have to. Stop it from going in. At times he looks good and others he looks absolutely awful. He was probably the biggest reason we lost today.

Geno will undoubtedly be the first to go from the big 3. He is going to be an injury liability every year from here on out I think.

I watched the TB/FLA game. I don't think the Pens have the horses to compete with those two and that's if they get past NYI and BOS/WASH. Different brand of hockey. Seems more refined, but wreckless.
Geno can be a liability, but they need his presence on the ice.
Did Jarry remind you of another goalie we had that wore #30? The similarities are striking. Weak glove hand. Never saw that before. They better pick it up tomorrow or they will be two games from pulling out the brooms on the Island.
And Marcus Petterson? WTF? Can you play any worse in your end in a PO game? Damn! He sucked.

Ok, venting done. . . for now.

Yeah, I watched after a nice day with the grandkids. Should have kept my fat *** in the freezing cold pool! I watched every second wrongly thinking the division winning Pens who played in the toughest division would show up? Man was I wrong! Looked like watching January Pens with the Baby Pens on D. The defense was absolutely putrid. Letang thinks he is a forward and Dumo did not have his best game (he gets a pass as he is usually solid) Matheson and Petterson were just BAD. Jarry? Looked like a rookie and was outplayed by one. Glove hand, well you know it is coming and NO freaking traffic in front. PP, not sure how they went from 26 to 4th in the league? After killing off a 4 min, the Isles then kept the puck in their possession on the Pens PP for 1:32 seconds, crazy! Turnovers, turnovers, players on the ground more than ice and turnovers. I was happy to see the lazy Russian not playing, but maybe he can spark something. Rust did not have his best game either (give him a pass also) and you can tell Tanev did not have his legs yet. Tuesday is a must win IMO if they want to get their *** kicked and beat in the next round vs Caps or B's. Not one player besides Tanev plays with any aggression, horrible when your captain tries to spark the team with hits. Vent over, tomorrow is a new day and these ******* better be practicing today. Here's to OT and blood bath in game 2 for the douches vs douches tonight.

Side Note; Marchand got some points with me, harder to dislike. If you didn't see, he shot a puck in warm ups that went into the stands and nearly hit a young girl. Before the players came out to start the game, he snuck out and grabbed an official and employee of the arena, signed a stick and had it sent up to the girl. Classy and impressive recognition by Brad.

I dislike that little wiesel, but that was all class from March.

Can't say I disagree with anything in your post. My butthole will be a little tighter Tuesday night.

I'd welcome Marchand on our team. He is one tough ******* and someone you need this time of year. I'd welcome Wilson if he was not a psycho freak who gets totally unhinged and takes his role as the intimidator too far. He can play for a big guy, there is no doubt about it.

Wison is the type of player(not psycho) they do need. He can play and is physical. I don't know why he goes over that line over and over.

Marchand is a pest that always produces. Both players are not Pens, so it's easy to hate on them, but if they were in B&G, we would love the dirty ********.

Wilson is an interesting case study. If he can control that anger then he could potentially be one of the best in the league but he is a liability in that you never know what he is going to do. That said, if you somehow remove the wire that makes him occasionally psycho, then you probably will also remove the good but tough characteristics/skills that he has. Likely a tough balancing act there.

In all seriousness, I wonder if he injured his shoulder and that was why he was out for that last game of the regular season. I remember he was plowed over pretty good in the next to last game.

That said, who saw the opposing goalie do a header to block a shot on goal? He was using every square inch possible to keep the puck from going in. Jarry,,,not so much. Hopefully he plays like a Champion tomorrow, or at least a contender. ;)

Watching the game feed over a French Canadian channel. As much as I do not like the French, I dislike the national or Washington stations even more. I'll probably want to drink wine and eat cheese by the time this game is over. Should be entertaining...Go Bruuuins de Bostun

I think the boards are going to need to be replaced after this game. Holy hell

Debrusk, goal!!!

Already more activity in this game after 8 minutes than was in our game yesterday.

Score is 1-1, but the Caps are well in control of this game so far. They are doing to the Bruins what the isles did to the Pens. Hitting them everywhere and making them worry more about getting hit. Rask has been fantastic thus far.

Goal Boston!!

Deux - un

Damn good game.

Everytime there's a big hit, the Canadian announcers sound like they're about to jump out if their seats in disgust. I don't remember but don't the Canadian hockey purists not like the overly physical part of the game?

The stuff the Caps are getting away with after the whistle is bullshit.

Guy had his knee in Marchs ribs while down in the crease and March retaliates. March to the box, 2 minutes to feel shame

Merde

Deux-deux
