Honorable mention to the Tanevmanian Devil. I hope that guy retires as a Penguin. I love the way he plays the game.

Tis all good though. Lovejoy won a cup in 16 and was Pen for awhile.

Reaves is still a Pen at heart

Keep working the negative vibes. It worked for me our last cup win..haha. I have no delusions of this year turning silver and shiny. But anything is possible and I have sliver of hope until they're eliminated.

Don't forget that they are playing a playoff level team, who made it to the Eastern Conference Finals last year. They are no chumps. We beat a very good team. I'll take it.

I’m tuning in thursday lol. The Pens are a good team. I’m more bothered by the lack of physicality and coaching these past three years

Was that due to GMJR, Sully or Mario? I'd have to look at the owner. He doesn't like the physical part of the game. He never did. If they can somehow get past the goon rounds, I think they can skate against any other fast team out there. They really need Good Geno out there to help absorb some of the punishment and capitolize on their offensive opportunities.

I think it’s a culmination of Sullivan and Mario. Mario has always hated physical hockey, despite acknowledging that hockey is a physical game. I remember Shero/Bylsma tried to field physical teams that performed well in the regular season but were outskilled in the playoffs. Rutherford really went after Reaves cause he was tired of the Pens getting mugged.

If I recall. Sullivan had rift with Cole around the same time Reaves being traded
 
The thing with Sullivan is he’s too stubborn to change. Look at the Pens face off plays. Everytime they win a face off in the offensive zone. It’s a pass to defenseman who looks for the pass to the right side. The Isles snuffed that play out all night
