Pens Hockey 2021?

Guentzel's first two postseasons: 23 goals and 19 assists for 42 points in 37 games with 7 GWG and a +11.
Guentzel's last three postseasons: 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points in 12 games with 0 GWG and a -3.

He used to be a great playoff hockey forward...what the hell happened?

Very disappointing loss, a total team letdown after a spirited game 3 victory. More lucky goals for the Islanders yesterday, though -- I still like the Penguins' chances in a best-of-three. Sid needs to step up and lead the way. He's got the same line as Guentzel in the last 12 playoff games: 5 points and a -3. That's simply not good enough production from an elite player.
Rust and Guentzel look off. Both guys were dynamic play makers when needed. Rust popped out of nowhere in 2016 and tore it up. Guentzel, I’d expect him to be the next team captain when Sid leaves just cause of his hockey IQ.

Sid’s line however has looked off and downright lethargic to say. It’s like they are skating in quicksand. I love Sid. The dude sees the game like no other and has some jaw dropping creative moments, but even he’s been in a funk. At least this is the vibe I feel.

I’m hoping for a win, but not raising expectations monday. I generally like the skill of this roster but the bottom lines do need Reaves/Wilson type of guy, not just for physicality purposes but like I stated yesterday strong puck possession.

We’re a fast team but not Tampa Bay fast. We have skill. We’re better putting the puck in the skill players sticks and let them control the game. Part of that is controlling center ice and spending more time in the offensive zone.

I wonder if they were just out of gas yesterday.
Eh they lay a stinker sometimes. I remember it happened in 16 and 17 as well. I want them to slay the isles demon. I cannot see our boys hanging with Boston. Taking this postseason one game at a time.

The Pens are bi-polar lol. One day they look like stanley cup contenders, next day they look like the Wheeling Nailers could put up a better fight

Looks like it was a great day to miss the game.....I DVR'd it but think I might just delete it...

I kinda figured the Isle's were going to come out firing from the first puck drop and win the game...You can't afford to go down 3-1 in a series. Now, Monday is the desperation game for both teams. Lose Monday and the other teams chances go way up for the series win.

Caps eliminated. Lost 3-1 in DC. There was a stretch in the second where the B’s had three shots yet scored twice. They only had 19 shots in the game, 12 in the first. Glad the Caps are out. I can’t stomach those ******** winning another cup.

The Bs look unstoppable. I sure hope we get there and find a way to stop them. I really hate the Bs.

And the Bolts, and the Avs, and the Knights....

They all seem to me like they are on another level compared to the Pens. All 4 of those teams can beat the Isle's easily.

We will know tonight....Unless they right the ship and figure out a way to win, its over...

I still think the problem is Rust and Jake are getting worked over by the 4th line and Martin. Sid just shrugs it off, but it has still effected his points and lack of scoring on the 1st line. Hopefully with the final line change tonight allows the Pens to make a difference. The 3rd and 4th lines have been the best IMO. Hopefully the lazy Russian now has his legs back, took Tanev a few days, otherwise put Carter back with Kap and Zucker or move the entire 3rd line up in rotation and drop the 2nd. PP has got to be better and the Defense has got to clear the puck and stay home. I believe the winner tonight wins the series.

100%. And Petterson has looked like **** this hole series.

In fairness, they are getting their ***** kicked every game, shift in, shift out, and a lot of it is outside of the rules. When that happens every time they step on the ice, and there are no calls, guys get frustrated, and it causes a lot of problems. The Isles know exactly what they are doing and how much they can get away with. Guess we will see tonight.

That lazy Russian had several nice blocked shots in his Game 3 return, and, despite missing half the series, has produced twice as many points as Sid.

Petterson has looked like **** for 95% of the whole season.

Is it just me, or is Guentzel’s first thought on every play to give it up to Crosby? It’s not working and he should try something new.

That whistle was just way too fast. Super lame.

GEEEEENNNOOOOO!!!!!!!!

You’re right. Crosby’s line second guesses

On the Isles’ goal, they were fumbling around in their own end right before and after that goal. I don’t get it. This team looks average. I don’t know if they’re scared or what, but they need to get it together.

Same ol BS the best the Pens can muster is a one goal lead then Letang (big surprise) gets caught up ice and Guentzel looks like a fool trying to defend...

Its almost like the Islanders play rope a dope with them at times.

I heard that Najee Harris is at the game tonight.Najee at the Pens game.jpg
