Pickett should play with the 1's vs Jags

This thread has now hit the level of mom and wife jokes...haha.

Good to great QBS don't take what the defense gives you all the time like Rudolph. He lacks the ability to see the field and make plays instead he looks inept in the pocket and quickly checks down.. We have seen what he can do against defenses that prepare for him and it is ugly. Thankfully tonight is the last time he sees the field as a Steelers whether we can trade the POS or he stays all season.

Yes, those are Rudolph's last three starts. 4 TDs, 6 INTs, and a 6.1 YPA (which would be tied for 31st out of 33 qualifying QBs last year). Awesome. Thanks for cherry-picking those for me, and proving my point.

Rudolph has looked good in camp before, and he's had more experience with the offense than the two new guys. So what?

How about this: ESPN has had five or six different analysts on all week, discussing who will be starting at quarterback for the Steelers this year. Guess whose name hasn't been mentioned even once in any or all of these debates? Here's a hint -- it's not Trubisky or Pickett.

I don't think that's relevant in the QB race. The bigger point is how many head coaches of the Pittsburgh Steelers have given Rudolph first-team snaps.
 
I don't believe Mitch is better but the Steelers made that move now they must be a slave to it. I believe the smart move is to have Pickett at 3 and let Mitch and Rudolph run at 1 and 2. If Mitch and Pickett stink or 1 gets hurt where does the team go....

So you don't think the Steelers should give Pickett any reps during the regular season?

It's about as relevant as some article stating that Rudolph has looked the best in camp so far. But it's far more telling, because everybody and their brother (including the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers) knows and accepts, after seeing him for four years, that Rudolph is not good enough to be a full-time starting quarterback in the NFL.

Well, everybody except about three guys in here, that is.

Only if it is absolutely needed... Pickett would not be the first QB taken in the 1st round to sit the bench and learn. Was never a fan of QB in that draft and felt bigger needs needed addressed. I'm 50/50 on Pickett being a true franchise QB but don't think its a true or fair assessment of him or Mason behind such garbage offensive line and such piss poor OC.
