Playoffs Just for Fun

Can Tomlin put together a playoff team in the future? It doesn't look likely. We are the new Cleveland Browns.

Doesn’t matter much. Shades has been one-and-done in the playoffs many times with better teams than this.

Exactly. That's what I tell the Tomlin Kool Aid drinkers around me that tell me "He's turning things around!" Doesn't matter, he will win nothing of significance as long as he's coach here. I always bring up Cowher taking O'Donnell to SB 30...now try to imagine Tomlin pulling off a feat like that...LOL...literally, it's laughable when you think he had a good O-line AB, Bell,Ben....nothing, NADA,zilch.

He’s turned things around alright. Team has gotten steadily worse since he’s been here.

We needed about 6-8 things to happen with a couple weeks to go last time we made the playoffs right?

Problem is there are 3 other things that have to happen which “the help” won’t take care of for us

A much more accurate description of the these non predatory teams…hard to put up the graphic with basically everyone but the Texans
 
So basically we aren’t making the playoffs, but if we won out we have two or three paths forward…

Basically we need to win out, then either Miami or the Chargers need to lose out for is to stay alive… in a best case scenario both Miami and the chargers lose out and we end up with the sixth seed… the rest is mostly gibberish…
So if you are still rooting for Miracles… root hard against the fins and bolts today
 
I am just happy that with 2 games left in the season, we still have a chance! think back to how this season started. Top pick, top 5 pick etc.

I am not a Tomlin guy but he has done a very good job this year.

I agree. His players love him and have been fighting hard all season. There have been some players complaining at times (including Cole during the game last night) but they have stuck together. If they were to somehow win the final 2 games, Tomlin will put another huge feather in his cap and should be up there for coach of the year but he won't be. The bad thing about this is I doubt we see any changes after the season other than maybe special teams coach.
 
Need GB to beat Miami today. Unfortunately the game is in Miami

Well the Ratbirds are already in and Cleveland is out so I wouldn't be surprised if they win the last 2 and secure that special participation trophy for Coach T.

Got to keep stacking those never losing seasons like cord wood.

LOL...I wonder when someone will yell out "the emperor has no clothes" by saying " And no winning seasons of anything that matters...without Cowher's team."
 
Losing to the whole AFC East pretty much secured our fate…

Correct. So here's the scenario:

Steelers beat Baltimore and Cleveland (obviously).

MNF: Colts win at home versus Chargers

Week 17:
Dolphins lose @ Patriots
Jets lose @ Seahawks
Chargers lose to Rams in LA

Week 18:
Patriots lose @ Bills
Jets win @ Dolphins
Chargers lose @ Denver

Best as I can tell, if one and only one of the above results from the other games goes the other way, the Steelers can still end up with the seventh seed. Stranger things have happened.
