Pom Pom thread

Markus Wheaton stepped up and had an awesome game.

Offensive game plan was fantastic until Miller went out. Once they didn't have that weapon down the seam, they changed their approach, but still impressive.

And then switch formations giving them plenty of time to adjust and find their assignments. If you wanna go for it, go for it with your real offense on the field. If you wanna fake a FG, do an actual fake FG. Not some weird hybrid of both that takes away the benefit of either option

I didn't like the call if your going to go for it just go for it that being said Landry had Big AL open twice immediately and then later when he threw a lollipop

You know your coach has issues when he trusts Landry Jones with a clutch play, on the road, against a championship quality team, with our playoff hopes on the line.

Yea, Tomlin was terrible out there throwing 4 interceptions. What was he thinking?????

Seriously though, Blake has shown he lacks the technique to play consistent football and is a liability on the field. He trips over his feet each and every game, due to poor footwork and even poorer body positioning. It looks like he's on rollerskates as comic relief in a cartoon. If we replace him with Golson or Boinkin, we may have a shot to improve on defense. Otherwise, this is the definition of insanity. Keep putting Blake out there and expecting different results.

The gameplan was working when we stayed to short quick decisions, but changing to longer plays in the second half killed what was working so well for us.
There was one INT that was Tomlin's fault - the ******* weird fake FG play

My beefs with him this game: that play, the offense forsaking any rhythm and just trying to go deep every play in the second half, leaving Blake on the field, and not going for the win with 3 minutes left. Everyone watching knew our D couldn't stop them. Can't believe we put it in their hands. Also - I know it's hard to make refs make the right call, but a lot of the more demonstrative, whiny coaches get themselves calls by bringing certain things to refs' attention and getting on them for it. As soon as the refs established that they were going to let Sherman play however the **** he wanted with no repercussions, it would have been nice for our coach to show some leadership and get on the refs about Sherman's blatant PI/holding/illegal contact. I mean, the no-call on the interception was UNACCEPTABLE and he grabbing and pushing long before that.

Ben had a concussion is what I'm guessing. So who else were they going to put in?

The deep pass was there. A bunch of drops and non-calls by the refs is what hurt our deep passing game today. The Blake thing is just old at this point. How many times do you keep running him out there with the same bad results?

there were a lot of good from our offense, but also some bad.

Same with the D and ST. We should have went for the TD instead of kicking the FG. Giving them the ball back with 3:00 left and the lead was playing with fire and we got burned. Tomlin is aggressive on the 2pt plays, but kicks it at the end of the game. Doesn't make sense. I'm not blaming MT for this loss, but some of his decisions are head scratchers. Our D can't tackle and our DBs have NO football awareness when the ball is in the air.

Saying that, I have no pom pom to contribute. This loss was huge. Say goodbye to CIN and we are now out of a PO spot.

Our offense is basically unstoppable. Don't really know what else to say because this game was an embarrassment. Tomlin cost us another game. We're 8-4 without Tomlin blunders

We're 8-4 with a cadaver at head coach unfortunately we are stuck with a stupid arrogant head coach who tries to act like he is smarter than any other coach and proves himself a stupid ******* while doing so.

Incredible to see the coaching apologists always defending him.

1 A terrible call that erased 3 points and gave them 7
2 Inability to bench players when needed (See Blake)
3 Inability to see Cortez and Sham not so wow Thomas wasn't the answer in the offseason
4 Inability to bring in a outside corner for competition or try different combos.
5 Horrible time management
6 When you need to go for it he kicks a field goal when he should kick a field goal he doesn't. Let's do the opposite of what makes ******* sense.
7 Playing down to lesser teams (again this year)

Steelers have a championship caliber O and a D that is a few players away from being solid.

Because of horrible decision making, you are wasting Ben's best years.....

So, you're saying you don't like Tomlin?

As for Pom Poms ... I have none.

So we are ignoring Ben wasn't going to be in for the 4th down play if we go for it??? Got it.

That's weird, I must have missed him throwing that one ;)

Especially since Big AL was open twice on the play. Landry missed him immediately and then threw a lollipop

Do we know for sure that he wouldn't have been in there? If I remember correctly, he was on the field for that whole drive. I could be wrong.

there were definitly some good things to say about the game but **** it, **** the pom pom thread this ******* week

We should have won this game. We had the talent to win this game. Tomlin/Haley and the horrible officiating lost it. Why was Sherman allowed illegal contact and pass interference on pretty much every ******* play?

Soooooo bring in your backup QB cold off the bench on the biggest play of the game instead of taking the three? And you're going to tell me you wouldn't be bitching the other way if we weren't successful. Be honest. You going to say good call Tomlin and not he's a dumb **** you kick and play defense.
