i enjoyed watching a real defense play today

You're a drooler. We walked up an down the field on them the entire game even with the incompetence of our coaching staff.

Do you get a trophy for that. They make plays they tackle they win

Every week the definition of what is a catch in the NFL changes. And almost every week Mike Tomlin proves he is incapable of managing the clock, especially in a close game.

I've been calling him 'football stupid' for the past several years, and I haven't changed my mind. This team wins games in spite of him, never because of him. If he calls a TO at 2:48, we may have put a better defensive play together and that Seattle TD may have never happened, but MT rarely gives this team a chance to win close games. Plus, call a TO at 2:48 was the RIGHT THING TO DO, no matter whether or it would've changed the outcome of the next play.

Of course Tomlin didn't call a timeout there. He made the same type of blunder a few weeks ago, but I've come to the realization that he cannot learn from his mistakes when, in his mind, he isn't doing anything wrong.

After almost ten years of living and dying with Tomlin's consistent failures in managing games, there simply can be no other plausible explanation.

They gave up the most yards in the history of the Seattle Seahawks. They're a shell of their former self.
And won. That defense will be better as the season goes on. The steelers will continue to have this board crying about the refs

I enjoy watching his continued stupidity and fans here defending it to the bitter end. I don't live and die with the Steelers, it is just entertainment as you get older and watch tools like Bryant with a huge grin on his face while shaking hands after the loss. We fans get more emotionally involved than the players and once you realize that you realize it is just a game.

Good point about Bryant after the game...I noticed that too.

not dissing the Pens, but when he says the Steelers is just a game to him. Then it easy to see that the Pens probably isn't just a game to him..

feel me?

I don't live and die with the Pens either, all sports are just entertainment. The older you get the more you will realize this.

Hey we scored 30 points.

Wrong that's not the play it happened on. It happened when everyone thought it happened

Ben did take a cheap shot. It was flagged however. I thought the call on Timmons pushing Russel Wilson out of bounds was bologna has well. The Steelers put themselves in opportunities to win this game though. Thats what makes this loss annoying

I will say the deep passes on 3rd and 2 were stupid. But there were times where Bryant had a grip and some on the ball. So it can go anyway you choose to look at it

That brought back traumatic memories of da Bruce.

And in that spirit...

Now that the playoff chances are nil, I can focus on other things in life.

- The offense is pretty much unstoppable, no matter what the gameplan is.
- Jesse James looks like a good future replacement for Heath.
- Martavis Bryant is happy no matter if we win or lose.
- Villanueva is tall. Very. One day he will catch a ball. And I want him to rumble into the endzone.
- I laughed when they showed Peezy in the background wiping his nose and then cleaning his hand on his pants.

-Great offense.
-Jesse James is tough, and will be a good TE. Would love to see more 2 TE sets with him and Heath.
-Tuitt, Heyward were good.
-JJ and Dupree are getting better.

Win out? I really like you but come on, man. Reality check.

Hardly any world beaters left.. Cincinnati is the only one that's going to be tough. As long as Ben isn't out with a concussion. The world isn't over cause we lost to Seattle. Even with four turnovers we should've won.

Reality check for what ? If anything yesterday proved if we even play average defense down the stretch we'll tear teams apart.

Russell Wilson just had the game of his life yesterday instead of the Super Bowl last year.

We're going to the playoffs and I dont see one team stopping us. None.

Ben is very good

Jarvis showed up

DW is the man

Tomlin has removed all doubt he's clueless

Should have played Dupree more snaps. When he was in, he was noticeable getting pressure on Wilson.

Jarvis definitely looks like he has turned the corner getting into the backfield.

****** set of circumstances to lose Heath and Shazier early in the game.

Thought we could have mixed in more running plays, would have helped with the play action stuff.

Wheaton made himself a lot of money yesterday, probably not with us though.

Bryant needs to get his head in the game and compete.

Our margin for error is extremely thin now. Have to hope the other wild card teams cancel each other out.

Denver just beat the Pats* and look better without Peyton. Colts are undefeated with Hasselbeck starting (4-0). Bengals in Cincy is obviously a tough game.

The next 3 games are pretty brutal. I like to be optimistic but winning 2 of the next 3 games will be an accomplishment for this team. With that said, we can lose 1 MAYBE 2 max games the rest of the season and still make the playoffs. 10-6 gets us in, 9-7 we would need some help and most likely miss due to poor conference record.

The reality is an inconsistent defense and injuries (I know, every team has injuries but we've been bit worse than a lot of other teams except maybe the Pats*). We can agree to disagree on this. I admire your (and others') holding out hope for the best but I personally can't do it.
