Given how poorly we looked this past game, do the starters play more next week? Does the risk of injury out way the need to get more in tune with one another?

I say they play longer. They need it.

I would play them for the whole first half. They demonstrated that they need more work.

I think they need to play the first half. They would still have 10 days until the first game but do turn around and play the Rats 4 days after that.

I think it depends. If the offense comes out and plays well the first series or 2 then thats enough. I would NOT risk injury to A. Brown. Other than Ben at this point we can in no way afford to lose brown. On defense they should play longer as they need some help.

One series then get the 1's out of there. Nothing to prove by getting hurt in the last meaningless game of the preseason.

I'm with Spike, OTA's, training camp and 3 pre-season games has most of the other teams ready ( Philly sure is ), another couple plays in a meaningless practice game is not gonna magically turn things around. We're just not that good right now...period.

That's what I thought last year when they sucked in the Pre Season. I changed my tune after they continued to suck their way to a perfect 0-4 start

it would also depend on how they practice this week. let there performance dictate how long the starters are in

Can't risk injuries before the season. Just play the rookies, FA and those trying to make the team. The last thing you want is Ben, Brown etc.. getting hurt 10 days before the real season starts.

My guess, for what it's worth, is that this is what we will see. Would like to see a few series, especially from the defense, to make up for the pitiful performance on Thursday.
Always hopeful for the regular season to start on a positive note and be as healthy as possible for September. Just sad to see the blue collar, lunch box mentality of this team slowly disappear.

Very true. They will probably play the defense a bit more since they need to break in some of the rookies like Shazier, Tuitt etc...

I think we'll see a normal 4th preseason game, end of story. Unless snoop dog deams otherwise (rapper, not tomlin). What those two pot head running backs did, was not just toke a little, but messed up the entire mental of the team a little. Face it, the mental was breached, they couldn't get it back, in time for real play. Now that things have settled down a little, soon actual game planning will occur, a different team will take the field. No miracle, but a better team at that.

Salute the nation

play 1st team till mid 2nd quarter then just leave guys on the ol and dl that need to gel like kesiel heyward mclendon, pouncey decastro, foster
