Put the two 6 TD games on the shelf for a minute...

No one seems pissed Bryant dropped a TD that hit him right in the hands that would've made it 10-0 I believe. Ben was off for sure, but Bryant dropped a TD, Bell had a 3rd down pass go right through his hands that he usually catches, and Miller tripped over the goal line on what would've been an easy TD catch and wouldve made the score 28-20.

You're he should of caught it. And i probably would have more issue if that was the only high ball thrown. It wasnt. It was one of many.

I agree alot of passes sailing, but all i've heard on sports talk in pittsburgh is Ben needs to come away with more than 6 points on those first two drives, but not one mention of Bryant dropping what should've been an easy TD. Ben deserves alot of the blame, but there were plays that were there to be made that others failed on too.

Dont get me wrong I cursed his big *** out at home too.

I kid a great deal about the friction that goes on after these losses because it's the only way I can deal with my frustration.

Ultimately, I think there is a really serious cultural problem with the team in general where they tend to take quite a few teams for granted. Even when they KNOW they have this tendency they STILL can't seem to help themselves. It's like some weird sickness of overconfidence. I can't quite understand it.

Continually attacking the coaching is too easy. The players HAVE to be able to see that at some point in the game they're getting their ***** kicked and the veterans need to figure out that **** isn't working and modifications need to happen. I mean, I get that our line is pretty mediocre. I get that our defense has some serious limitations. I understand that Ben or the receivers can have an off day, but geez, SOMEBODY's got to be on.

We can't lose to ALL the crappy teams. There's a common thread there and basically it comes down to a team-wide tendency to overlook what they consider to be weaker opponents. Sadly in doing so they've pretty much identified themselves as "the weaker opponents."

Ok, so lets put Ben's 2 worst games on the shelf. He's MVP material then. You cant discount his record-setting 2-game performance just because you have decided you dont want him at QB. He's had some bad games, he's had some spectacular games. Ben is a HOF QB, still in his prime he is only 32 years old for ***** sake. Brady and Manning have both had a couple of less then stellar games this year but i rarlely hear any of their fans whine, ***** and moan the way some of us Steeler fans do. When the defense plays average and the line plays good we win. This team as many issue, the least of which is Ben having an off day.

It's an expression, but I would expect nothing less than this type of argument from you. If you actually read my posts, I said Ben had an off game, but he wasn't horrible like people were saying. We have one poster who places the entire loss on Ben, completely ignoring the fact that the OL couldn't stop the Saints DL on passing downs, and absolving the defense entirely. I'm sorry if I can see the larger picture, I'm sorry that I understand that 9 pass attempts is hardly a whole body of work to claim "he was missing people WAY before the injury to his hand". I also stated that his wrist was likely still tight from the hit, in the cold weather it takes a while to get something like that to loosen up. I'm sure you've never experienced anything like that sitting behind your keyboard pretending you know things.

Pressured or not? Really?? So now pressure doesn't matter. Quick, how do you stop Tom Brady? Pressure him up the middle. How do you stop Peyton Manning? Pressure him from the edges. How do you stop Ben Roethlisberger? Pressure him and keep him in the pocket. Can anyone tell me what the Saints were able to do against Ben? Who was started RT for the game?

I'm done with you, crawl back into your "widdle" hole.

Yes, I actually did in fact waste my time by reading your posts, and you're full of **** as usual. Not once did you say Ben had an "off game." What you said was "Ben didn't have a great game, but..." followed by a typical litany of excuses for the guy. Ohhhh the offensive line was soooooo bad....ohhhh Mikey Adams is much more to blame....ohhhh Ben hurt his widdle hand...ohhhh a ray of sunshine came out for a millisecond, reflected off of Tomlin's shades, and made Ben miss another wide open target...ohhhh...

I'm sorry that you don't know the difference between 3 divided by 9 and one half. I don't have to pretend to know that Ben didn't play very well before or after his "injury." He didn't play very well with or without pressure in his face one third, one half, or all the time. He played well after the game was decided and the Saints allowed him to complete any and all the underneath stuff his widdle heart desired. Down by 2+ scores with less than six minutes left in the game, Ben didn't even attempt a deep pass in the final two drives, NOT ONE, while completing THIRTEEN short passes.

Never said pressure didn't matter. Although there were several examples of Roethlisberger being inaccurate while not under ANY pressure on Sunday. Take a break from fellating your Ben doll for a few minutes, go watch a replay of the game, and perhaps you might be able to notice that.

MVP candidates do not go through a 3 game stretch against bottom feeders and throw 3 TDs and 5 INTs with the season on the line resulting in 2 losses.
