Ravens sign QB Jackson to long term deal

1. I can't believe any QBs are getting paid more than Patrick Mahomes.
2. Maybe a hot take, but the Ravens without a starting quarterback may have been better. Jackson wins football games. We'll see what happens with the shift in offense, but until we see otherwise, the Ravens are a good chance to make the playoffs with Jackson under center and that is just another obstacle for the Steelers.
 
If my math is correct, and who knows, Lamar will eat up about 23-24% of the Rats cap.

Going back to the year 2000, the QB who reached the Super Bowl with the highest percentage of league salary cap is Peyton Manning, whose $23.2M cap hit in 2009 represented 18.8% of the league cap. The Saints beat the Colts that year.

Gotta love it.

Minus oh around 78-79 million for federal and state taxes. You still end up with a lot, but have to feel like you've been robbed.
 
They signed this lunkhead to the ultimate anchor contract then drafted a wr i think is going to be a typical Ravens wideout bust… hopefully this is the signal they are circling the drain

This escalates everything by the way… herbert was expected to sign something in the 275 million over 5 year range then burrow was expected to top that… i was thinking Burrow was a minimum of 57 million per but The Brown family probably won’t want to pony up the guaranteed cash (in escrow) as high as these guys, so he probably gets around 60 per but less guaranteed… …its truely awesome

But on the other hand they came together in the middle as always happens. An agent might have facilitated that a long time ago with a lot less acrimony.
