Ravens sign QB Jackson to long term deal

We have mocked Watson, Jackson, and Burrow for these huge contracts. Does that mean it won't happen to us with Pickett?

In a way you hope it does, because it means that Pickett has become the real deal.

lol, real deal...no pun intended there

According to the net Kordell ran a 4.52 40 and Jackson was a 4.34. I get people dont like Jackson, but I think is better in most every stat than Kordell. Lamar still has an almost 64% career completion percentage. While Kordells hovers around 56% . Jacksons QB rating is much higher as well. Maybe Kordell would have fared better in today's game, but I dont think there is any comparison between him and Jackson.
Agreed. Its really not close

But Lamar is playing in a system designed for him and dumbed down in the passing game. Kordell was trying to be a regular QB. Put him in the system Lamar runs and see what he could do. That would be a fair comparison. I think Lamar would have floundered in the System Kordell ran.

Hard to compare statistics when they tweaked the rules since Kordell played.

Difficult to say hey look at these stats when a QB has more favorable passing conditions post rule adjustments.

Think about it even with favorable new rules post Kordell, Jackson still looks like a RB playing QB.

I will have to agree to disagree with the crowd that thinks LJ is clearly better. I chalk it up with an unknown.

I would want Kordell for slash and LJ not at all. I still sit by this.😁

I agree mostly. No one can say for certain who would be better. I give the passing edge to Kordell and the sped edge to Lamar. But it all would depend on the system. I spoke with Kordell last year at the terrible tailgate about it and he would have loved to play in this era.
