Remember the good old Cowher days?

Inherited the best and added the least. Cowher got from Noll:

O'Donnell
Foster
Hoge
Stone
Graham
Cooper
John Jackson
Love
Dawson
Haselrig
Ilkin
Williams
Evans
Davidson
Nickerson
Little
Lloyd
Woodson
Lake
Perry

Not a bad start
Yeah but of those players, only like 6 were starters in the Super Bowl, Cowher quickly overturned the roster to what he wanted.

Pretty much every roster is quickly overturned from one coach to the next. My point was that Cowher did get a lot of talent from Noll.

Look at the 08 and 10 starters and how many starters were from Cowher.
Of those players listed, only Neil, Foster, Jackson, Dawson, Haselrig, Nickerson, Lloyd, Lake, Woodson I'd consider as talent(at their current age when Cowher took over).
Cowher drafted Perry and brought Duval Love in from another team.

But BC took over in '92, what did you expect to happen?

I see you sneaking mid guys in there like Neil, Stone, Graham, Cooper, Evans, Davidson, Haselrig…even Hoge if I’m being honest.

And while we bag on Shades for hiring lousy coordinators, Chin hired two who were almost as bad as Canaduh, Kevin Gilbride and Ray Sherman. Chin at least had the good sense to fire coaches when they sucked.
Gilbride was a s--- coach. His rep was greatly enhanced by Moon's Houston and the Brunell-led Jags team. Once he was exposed on his own in SD, he was a horribly terrible coach. He didn't have the temperment.

Gilbride had 10 top-10 offenses as a coordinator, 11th once as well, and was an OC 10 years before Cowher hired him, 10 more after he fired him. That is a damn sight better than Tomlin pulling Fichtner and Canada out of nowhere, neither was OC before coming to or after leaving the Steelers.

He did get a HOF one of the best ever corners in Woodson and the same for Dawson at Center. That's a pretty good parting gift from Noll.

and Greg Lloyd &Carnell Lake.

We found out why Buddy Ryan punched him on the sideline though. :D
