what good is the challenge flag if the officials can just do instant replay anytime they want. the whole purpose of the red flag is to challenge something on the field. why even have the damn thing if the officials are gonna look at every play and throw their own challenge anytime they want. Seems like just another way to screw certain teams.

why didn't they use replay assist on the punt that should have given us a first down. funny how the officials can us it whenever it suits them but coaches can't

Who the **** is "Replay assist from NY" Does this person have a name or are we not privy to that?

The players have their names on their backs. We know the coaches' and commentators' names. Hell, we know all the officials' names.

SO who the **** is replay assist from NY? Is it a person?, a three-person committee,? AI??, because if they are going to act like Presidential Debate moderators from ABC/CBS they can go ahead and **** right on off.

Replay assist from NY can kiss my ***

I see the challenges as an opportunity to correct a wrong. It can only be used on certain (most) plays, but also to clarify a play wether eligible or not. I don’t think they can be used inside the two minute warnings as booth looks at everything then.

I also have seen this occasionally, them being used in place of a time out. One has to be a little careful so as if the officiating feel you are using them in place of time outs, they will make so you will regret not having a challenge left to challenge with. Just a thought process.

Replay assist is sort of what replay is suppose to be. Quick replays to correct clear and obvious misses. Use this on every clear and obvious play, such as when Eagles players throw punches as the Steelers and don't get a flag. The efficiency of the system is fantastic, but its limited use doesn't make sense.

It makes sense if they are only using it for their benefit.

Spot on
Replay assist is just one more way for the league to fix games under the guise of improving the referees who suck out loud

To me you have the replay challenges for the purpose of looking at human error. Of upstairs is going to cherry pick times to step in sans challenge you could have real issues. The Steelers had a clear overturn last week or week before but still had to challenge.

The way it was, was fine. I don't like NY interfering with the game. You have the coaches challenge for that. This is a cliff. Who decides to step in.

That’s exactly the type of FIXing I meamt
They try to write and control the script like it’s wrestling but every now then it’s past their current level of control due to a superlative performance

Thus the FIXer system implemented to help control

I will point out, replay assist evolved from a play several years back when a ref accidentally disclosed he got a call from new york telling him the correct call to make...
the league had secretly started doing that and didnt tell anyone for some reason... once tge cat was out of the bag it grew into this... but its still extremely inconsistent and often seems lopsided...
for instance, tge double personal foul call showed multiple ( at least 3) eagles punches thrown from several different angles... yet with the long tv delay, it did not find any...
