Report: Aaron Rodgers Is At Steelers Facility On Friday

Fishing does have a lot less stress. Truth is I was that obsessed guy in the '90s. A health scare that thank God didn't turn out to be what they thought in the early 2000s changed my perspective. A month after they lost to Tennessee in the playoffs with that damn offsides on the field goal and I'm throwing everything off my front porch into the street...sleds, chairs... I'm laid out in a hospital. What am I doing? So I've done a lot more fishing in the fall. Football season for me really gets going in earnest in November.

But again, I'll quit altogether if I start to believe they value money before winning. It just seems completely pointless to me if I believe that.
No other reason to extend a HC that hasn’t been getting the job done in the playoffs and gets blown out with embarrassing displays more often than not.

For me he wins just enough for them. And it is a business after all sure there will always be a heavy money indicator. Sometimes you just get lucky and get an owner that wants a high degree of both. I think we now don’t have that. It is a high degree of one and a semi want of the other.

We both can believe what we wish of course, the outcomes for me paint a picture that some might not want to accept as probable.

Glad you came out of your health scare with your health intact.👏

We know the odds of winning the SB with our HC in place is extremely long odds. I say that as more of a statement than trying to be negative. When you put that out there I think for me I just hope for the best case scenario for watching a game. Within that I feel they should upgrade the team whenever they can. I do realize that comes within different levels and different outcomes but I hope that every game is watchable and not cringey like that late season collapse. Which was painful and embarrassing.

I know they need a franchise and it is harder to obtain one with the way the current state of things but it is that here and now problem for me.
With the philosophy of this team currently, I don't see them contending for a championship, ever!
With that said, I will continue to watch and if the addition of Rodgers makes them more competitive, then the games will be more enjoyable to watch.

Even if they discover a franchise QB in the next draft, this is likely the best we can hope for.

Keyboard tough guy, I bet you can barely lift your beer to your lips

I especially liked the caps and bold face, very tough, very insightful. I can do that too BREAD GOOD, FIRE BAD hahaha

No we don’t half to accept him as the head coach just like we didn’t accept Canada and he finally got gone thru Rooney being embarrassed by 55k chainting fire him at home games

Chat board, 10 year playoff losing drought, deeply flawed coach who controls everything, he’s going to get criticized

Keep scrolling if you don’t like it tough guy
I actually was talking to STILLWRIGHT not you AVOID LLOYD...For the record I NEVER told YOU to find another team, I was just using your post as another typical example of a "whiney, bitchey" post in June...I was stating why I have told people in the past to go find another team & it's a running joke between STILLWRIGHT & me for me to go tell people to find another team...He has asked me in the past why I don't tell "so & so" to go find another team, since I always tell him to go find another team...And I sure as hell ain't having STILLWRIGHT call me out again for missed forearm shivers...

Now go find another team... 🎤

I think it is more they really believe that he is the best guy to run the team with today's athletes. He understands them, he can communicate with them, or so they believe. I don't think it is anything devious.

I also think they are wrong in that assessment. I'm not sure a guy like George Pickens listens to anybody. Therefore, you might as well hire a better x' and o's guy. The guy is gonna get a chance, the Steelers will give him time and they will get rid of a player before a head coach. So it is futile for players to really try and undermine the guy.

SO,………………… you’ve tasted the river………. ???

Not on purpose. Water Skiing/tubing out near East Brady I got a mouth full occasionally. I wasn’t the best at skiing.

In 2024 (2025 draft) 7 wins was draft pick 12, 9 wins draft pick 17 and 10 wins was draft picks 18 through 21 and 25 and 26, so yes potentially quite a difference between 7 and 10 wins, especially if the 10 regular season wins is followed by a playoff win. Given 32 teams and 17 games played, there is going to be roughly 2.5 draft picks per win (given that less than 3 and more than 15 wins are outliers).
It's much better to have 5 wins when looking to draft a QB early in round 1.

I do not understand how the Steelers and most fans do not seem to understand this since Ben hurt his elbow. Just delaying the inevitable......

So because everyone can understand it why report in-depth coverage? Nothing happened to me all is good. My point was not everyone reads drivel from twitter. Perhaps next time don’t be lazy with what you throw out. Maybe people reading would like details as some come here and read and that is pretty much it.

😁

Tomlin was supposedly a really promising two or three-year-old if we are using the horse racing analogy but as an older horse he's proven to be a 60-1 also ran with little ability to separate from the pack and who falters badly in the stretch while naturally avoiding the middle of the track.

Take him out to pasture.

They'll never do that, so shiit in one hand, wish in the other...

While I don't disagree, how do you look some of the vets like Cam, TJ and Minkah in the eye and say we are gonna purposely waste one of your last years?

maybe you should write it in crayon then, sounds about your speed, don’t forget the CAPS when you do it genius

I think he cares about winning to a degree. That degree is just based on profit more than ring desire.

Whatever sports people watch comes with different degrees between addiction and casual. With different tolerances for each individual. Some can stomach winning seasons without playoff success.

The ones that can’t just hope for a change while having a different degree of voicing their distaste.

For me I try not to make every topic negative while making my passion for winning altered with less expectation.

Still embarrassing is embarrassing for those moments they choose to shovel that sh!t pile in front of my view. I doubt at those moments I can keep negative totally at bay.

But I try oh I try.

It's easier to sell a new1.5 billion dollar stadium when your team is winning playoff games. Another mediocre season ending fireball of failure won't get people excited to foot a big chunk of that bill.

Which is beyond ridiculous.

you trade at least one, maybe two of them.for draft capital

2003 steelers go 6-10 then in 2004 they draft Ben at pick 11

What if they had signed a big name free agent QB prior to the 2003 season and won 10 games? The next QB off the board after Ben was JP Losman at pick 22.

Rodgers will make the 25 season exciting. Maybe they win the division. Maybe they win a playoff game. Then they draft the next JP Losman in 26.

The steelers should think about trading Rodgers mid season. What if a team with SB dreams loses their QB early in the season? Maybe Goff or Purdy goes down. Maybe you can get a 2nd or even 1st rounder if they think they have a shot at the SB.

If the next QB is JP Losman then you don't draft Kenny Pickett, I mean, JP Losman...

This has to be about the dumbest signing ever (outside of Watson). But I guess when a .500 season is your goal every year...do what you have to do to get to that magic mark. All this does is pushes them further from being a legitimate contender.
Completely disagree. If the rumor is correct that he signed for 10 mill +incentives then we got a steal. The dude can still fire the football with velocity and is accurate as ****. Last year he completed roughly 33% of his passes over the middle...which is something we have lacked for the longest time. The analysis everyone in the sports media is giving is horse poop and probably based on people not liking him. The Jets signed Fields for 20 mill......20 MILL!...and Fields is terrible yet some wanted us to keep him. If the 10 mill number is true this was a steal.

I am not a Tomlin supporter, but I gave him credit for bringing in Russell Wilson... then they handcuffed him...they won't be able to do that with Rodgers, he will air it out when it's appropriate to do so. We had to do this before the D is fragmented in the coming years.

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

If Rodgers is performing at a level a team thinks he can win them a Super Bowl after their quarterback goes down or a team would trade real value for him, then the Steelers should be eyeing a Super Bowl run themselves at that point, not looking to trade him.

Are we talking about the Pirates or Steelers here?🤪

No one’s happy when they lose.

What’s been happening the past 10 years-total irrelevence is unacceptable and on Tomlin, there’s a huge difference between losing in the AFC Championship and getting bent over the goal post in the wild card round and in the regular season by the elite teams and you know it
There are many happy fans, here, when the team loses... it's sickening as a matter of fact because of there agenda to get Coach Tomlin gone.

None of us can change anything so, enjoy the games or switch teams. Seems like a pretty easy decision to me but I'm an optimist...
