No player should ever wear 12 or 7 imo.
Rooney needs to do one thing right and retire those two numbers.

I honestly didn't know 12 wasn't retired. That's insane. Obviously they'd never let anyone wear it but it should have been retired long ago. I guess they won't even think about it while Tomlick is the coach since Bradshaw doesn't like him and Rooney mow's Tomlick's yard.

They would never fire him. He will use us as an ATM like he's done for over a decade and walk away once he's set everyone in his family and their brother up, financially.

I have always been a fan of his just from a football ability perspective. For me I don’t care if they are some oddball weirdo just win. Now I won’t pretend he is that same old version , probably just the old version.

I do think he is an upgrade over Smurfy- loft one up -Wilson, one read Fields, and cool hands Ken, as well as Mitch.

How that unfolds… we’ll see.

Who is "him" in this scenario??? It seems that the term "worst poster" is growing legs and it's quite humorous when we look at the individuals using it.

I don't have a copyright on "yawn" here... the same goes with "apple turnover" - but try to be original when you talk ****...

I think there is only three jerseys retired. Ernie Stautner(sp), Joe Green, Franco Harris.

I’d think a 40 yr fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers would have a clue to that……..

Any tenured HC should have control over his SIGNED PLAYER roster.

The GM’s job is to MANAGE all aspects of the team and control acquiring players to fit the team vision. This means taking input from the HC as to the players that fit into the “vision” of the team. The GM is also responsible for hiring/firing “management” level positions. Any good GM is not going to force hiring/firing of “assistant” level positions, that is the Department Heads responsibility.

The Owner is just that, the Owner. They should limit his/her involvement in the day to day activities to conversations with the GM about their direction. Maybe an Annual meeting with “Department Heads”. If any changes need to be made to course correct to meet the Owner’s vision, they should always go through the GM. Jerry Jones is a prime example of how an Owner should NOT opperate.

Terry Bradshaw was NFL MVP for the 1978 season,but I'm sure you knew that.
