Place your bets....what will the new name be?

Hah good luck with that… we still call starlake by its original name, the civic arena was the name of choice for most long after it was mellon, and while it wasnt consol for that long, there are still people who refer to it as that rather than ppg… hell I still call the homestead grays bridge the high level bridge despite thinking it was cool they changed it

All about the $$$$$$ on every front in sports anymore. Probably always has been but I just didn't see it when I was younger as I do now.

It sucks but it's all about business. My guess is UPMC but either way, hopefully, it is a Pittsburgh company.

The "HOUSE" Kordell built and that's NOT a slam on Kordell.

Salute the nation

YINZERS stadium!
"Where the standard is the standard"

Whoever pays the price gets the slice.

Being in the medical field it would be nice to see my company get it over the dark side. But seeing that UPMC already represents the Steelers and that their pockets are deep they would be my guess.

Darkhorses are PNC and Highmark..

Whatever the stadium name is... if they manage to name the field Rooney field they are going in the right direction.

Sorry Justin, I’ll wait for an actual notification from a reputable journalist or the AP advising this than from anything Fillipponi tweets as news. He’s no better than any of these other Twitter shock writers.

I did some digging. They are equivalent to UPMC and PNC actually is worth more. So I guess if they even bid they underbid.

I find it hard to believe a Pittsburgh based company couldn't have been close in the running.

Not extremely disappointed but I can't say I like the decision...

They also bought a business that was owned by Thomas Tull, so there was a connection in place.
