Steelers now listening to trade offers for RB Le’Veon Bell, league sources tell ESPN.

9:54 AM -

I hope this turns out to be true. Find a interested party, contact him. Sign the tag and trade him.............

Hope so too. At this point, I don't think we are going to get much out of him if he plays another game for the Steelers.

I'm good with it. Just get some good assets in return. Don't dump him for a 5th or whatever like we've done in the past.

I think we can get solid value in return. I think there are very few offenses in the league he can go to that will allow him to have as much success as he's had here

Trade him for a 3rd string CB.

If it's true, anything 1-4th but lean towards straight across a 2nd or third.

Can't happen soon enough

Salute the nation

I'm calling BS on this. And as much as I want him gone, I don't know if I'm in favor of it right now. That would be giving exactly what he wants. Unless we can get higher than the 3rd rd comp we would get next yr, let his *** sit and sulk and get the comp pick next yr. Unless they can pull a Merriweather and get a 1st after he agrees to a sign and trade, then go for it. BUT, I'm still calling BS Schefter

At this point I’d take a 3rd. Won’t get much more with FA pending next year.

Yes! any 3rd rounder would be great as it's a higher pick than a compensation and we don't have to wait two more seasons.

Yeah who knows how accurate is, as you never know with these reports. But I am less concerned with screwing Bell in comparison of getting some value for him........

Dump him and use his money to go get Earl Thomas.

The Steelers can't just trade him for nothing. He is a premium player and they need to get a premium return. I'm with Punx, unless it's a 1st or 2nd, he can hold out and then when he comes back he can ride the bench or play special teams. I hope this guy doesn't see another offensive snap with this team.

Trade him straight up to the Seahawks for safety Earl Thomas....both Bell and Thomas want out of their teams. lol

Yeah, I know Bell needs to sign first.

I would do a Tomlin run to the draft podium for that exchange.

How nice would that be for what has become a soap opera in Pittsburgh after two weeks. Get back to the season.

All parties should have got in a room in July and run down scenarios. If this was his move they should have worked out something in August. You get nothing now. Its total desperation. Why would he report to another team. Same situation.

trade with seattle send bell and a pick for thomas and penny

Based on the reaction of his teammates when he was a no show for Week 1, I don't think Bell was necessarily in the same mindset that he was in July that he is in right now.

I think the Steelers just assumed, for whatever reason, that Bell would show up week one like he did last year, despite the fact they did not have the option of franchising him again.

It could be that Bell just flat out lied to them.

There was definitely a shift in how the Steelers players viewed Bell's hold out once he did not show up for the first week of the season.

He seemed to be bullshitting more than just his bosses.
