Teams will give more than just a third round pick if multiple teams interested. It’s called a bidding war.

If they can get a 1st or 2nd for him, great. Anything less than that, just hold on to him as a **** you to him, if nothing else.
I don't see how this can happen. A trade would only be for the rest of the season, then he will be a free agent. Who gives anything of great value for that kind of deal, especially for a player with his attitude and history.
No..I still think that the Rooney's should have tagged him with a "non-exclusive" and settled the argument one way or the other. but then again, that wouldn't have been any easier to make happen.
We are pretty much stuck with him unless they just rescind the tag, cut him loose and take the third round compensation next year.
Oh not him I meant Jerick McKinnon

Raiders - Bell would be perfect for Gruden's system. They could also use some star players for the move to Vegas.
All true. Problem is that we already robbed the Raiders once this year and I don't think they'll fall for it again.![]()
Don't underestimate their stupid. They resigned Bryant and shipped off Mack.

We aren't stuck with him. We own his rights, and I'll have to do some digging, but I think that can be traded (much like the retired Carson Palmer trade to OAK). I could be wrong with that, but I'm not sure. However, I know for a FACT, that if we rescind the tag and cut him loose. We also lose the right to any compensation pick the following year. We don't know when Bell plans to report...he might be going back to his original statement he made in Jan where he said he wouldn't play under the tag again, and would sit out the entire year or retire if tagged again.
If that's the case, we are just getting the ball rolling and letting teams know we are open for business when it comes to Bell. It could be this year, it could be in the offseason. But Bell has burned his bridges here in Pittsburgh, with his lack of workouts, his tweets, his non communication with the FO whether it be directly or thru his agent. Basically we put Bell on notice. We're done with you, no more playing games, no more mr nice guy.
I don't think it's a GUARANTEED 3rd and I also think is would be until 2020 we get the pick.
Salute the nation
Well.....looks like this is another case ( in a long line of them ) that I don't have a good grasp of the outcome.

In a way Bell still can play hard ball with the Steelers. No matter if the Steelers receive an offer with stipulations....Bell can still decline the trade.
According to reports, the carrot has been put out there for other teams, but no one has put in a call. Giving up at least a 3rd for a possible rental, out of shape(possibly), high priced RB that has not signed his tender may be a lot more difficult than thought. Whether he wants to play for the Steelers is one thing, whether he wants to play football is another.
Could also be a ploy to get Bell to see that demand for him may not be all that high and maybe he should take the offer that's on the table.
Adam Scheffer is rather accurate. After saying sign and trade with many saying you're wrong, it just might happen. We shall see![]()
The team needs 14.5 million in cap space. That narrows the list.
I think the Colts make sense for a few reasons.
1 ) The owner is a bonehead.
2 ) They have the cap space
3 ) Their leading rusher Jordan Wilikins who's 32nd in the NFL for rushing yardage and has no TD's
4 ) They suck, meaning whichever draft pick they give up will be at the top of the round
5 ) See reason #1.
