I kind of chuckle a bit when I read all the Bill Cowher is god type comments. It's amazing how the legend gets stronger, the longer that he stays off the coaching field.Kind of like the bigger the fish gets with time. Anybody that was on this very board at the time must remember about how we all wanted Cowher fired, after all the great regular seasons we had, then all the huge disappointments in the playoffs.
Who was to blame for all the QB 's we went through? If I remember correctly Bill didn't even want to draft Big Ben.wanted Stacey Andrews, who went to the eagles I think. We were bitching back then about the run, run, pass play calling. And all sorts of other things. Now,of course I don't blame it all on Cowher, but let's not put him on such a golden pedestal.
I hope this post does not sound like a Mike Tomlin defense post,as I really think that he has held the team back for many years now,and is not the answer. We have certainly had our fair share of disappointments in the playoffs with him as well.
