Is anyone else concerned about the fact he never saw the field on defense once Polamalu went out of the game? Is this a sign that he's not progressing as hoped and is ultimately destined to merely be a special teams player?

I do not think it can be attributed to him missing time due to the injury, as even in the preseason when Polamalu was inactive against the Giants, Thomas never saw anytime with the first team.

I know it's somewhat early yet, but I really thought he'd be higher on the secondary depth chart by now.

He pulled his other hamstring and was out of the game. Hamstrings are becoming a Woodley type issue with Shamarko.

He hurt his hamstring. This kid seems to be injured a little more than you like to see. Will Allen is more than capable of getting the job done. Hell Ike can play safety once he's healthy. Maybe Cortez Allen gets a look at safety with the injury to Troy. ****** thing is Allen can't tackle for ****.

He's injured again. Unfortunately, I think he is coming back too quick and keeps pulling hammy's. He needs to take the time and get in shape so this doesn't keep snowballing this season. We will need him assuming we head into the playoffs.

It is a shame - BUT - guess how good the defense can be IF they get healthy and stay on the field?

The injury bug has hit different guys at different times. Timmons had problems initially and has since become very reliable health wise
